James Tire Sales

I requested a quote from this shop and received an email that I would get the quote within 24 hours, instead it came 72 hours later. All the quote had was the price of the tire, which was way overpriced; there was no install cost or any other information. When I called to clarify exactly what the cost would be out the door, the guy I spoke to was curt and rude. — If this is how they treat a potential sale, I do not wish to find out how poorly they treat their customers.

Excellent repair shop! I have been in about 4 or 5 different times all for different reasons (brakes, tires, radiator etc.) All of my repairs were done in a timely manner. I used to always take my car to the dealership UNTIL I went to JAMES Tire, I didn’t realize how much money I was throwing away at the dealership. The prices at James are MUCH cheaper and the repairs are done in the same quality and matter of time that I’m accustomed to. I will definitely be back!

Walked in to see about getting a new tire and asked the guy behind the counter how long of a wait there was. He said about 45 minutes to an hour. I said I couldn’t wait that long do to only having an hour for lunch. And his exact words were «WHATEVER, TOO BAD». Totally Rude!
They were just as rude over 2 yrs ago, thought I’d give them a second chance. Big mistake!
Go to APACHE JUNCTION TIRE & SERVICE instead, much friendlier and faster service!

Absolutely the VERY BEST Apache Junction has to offer. I have to recommend this place to all my new neighbors, because having a car serviced or buying a used car can be a scary experience especially if you do not know who you are dealing with? I cannot tell you how HONEST and PROFESSIONAL the staff both sales and mechanical are at James Tire Warehouse. These people are a blessing their prices are more then fair, they stand behind all their work, and most importantly THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT! I highly recommend this place to everyone I will not take my vehicles anywhere else. God Bless.

I called to make an appointment because my car was acting weird. I’m a total girly girl and definitely NOT a car person. I usually take my car to the dealership because I felt like I had less chance of being taken advantage of. The gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful and was able to get me in the next day. It’s your typical shop on the inside, couple chairs, TV, coffee etc… nothing special. They figured out what was wrong and explained everything to me prior to starting the work so I knew what to expect. Overall, it was a great experience and I will be back for sure!

Went in today for a set of tires. The price was close to other shops i went to. The people i dealt with where fine, they put on the tires, i paid. people today expect shops to bend over backwards for them, not going to happen. as they say it is what it is. if i needed tires i would go back.

RUDE! Seriously, this place is near my house so I called for an oil change and the guy said he could do it right then, so I drive down there and go inside… The guy behind the counter was nothing but rude. He looked at me like I must be stupid since I’m a girl of course, then spoke to me like a jerk father would scold his 5 year old son. They also do not offer synthetic oil… oh but if you bring in your own they’ll use it. Lame! I was so irritated I walked out. I’ll drive a little further for some good service, thanks!

I had a car that I had let sit, unused, for about three years that I was interested in getting running again. I called around Apache Junction speaking with several auto repair shops before settling on James Tire Warehouse aka James Tire And Auto Center.
Over the phone, I let the gentleman (Mike) know that the battery was long dead and the brakes needed to be changed (possibly rotors and drums as well) and I was looking for an estimated cost to restore the car to running condition. He gave me some monetary figures for the brakes and battery, but advised (understandably so) that it would be much too difficult to try and offer me an accurate estimate of other issues without looking them over first. He said if I was willing to have it towed down to them they’d be happy to give it their free «Fifty Point Inspection» and get back to me with a more accurate quote. So I did.
One week later, I received a call saying that they needed my approval to purchase a new fuel pump at a cost of $ 400-​$ 600. I reiterated my desire only to have the car inspected and a full estimate worked-​up to see if it was worth having the repairs done or just scrapping the thing entirely. Mike informed me that he was doing the inspection, but to go any further in the inspection process, he needed to first replace the fuel pump.
After several days of consideration, I said, «No thanks,» and decided to purchase a new car. Mike stated that he would stop working on it and he piled the fuel tank and all related parts into the trunk.
Had they provided me with a total estimate rather than trying to nickle & dime a few parts out of me first, I would have been happy settling a bill up to three grand or so to get it running again. Maybe it did, in fact, NEED that pump for anyone to continue on with an inspection, but, when pressed, the reasons given and the rationale behind the process seemed lacking, and without a layman’s explanation I was unwilling to sink any money into it just to push further into the unknown.
