Steve has always had a dream of owning his own shop and finally had the opportunity to open Express Oil Change & Service Center in August of 2009. Apex has been a great choice and we are thrilled to be here working in this community. We love NC and we love Apex. Come meet Steve and the crew.

This place really is two shops, the oil change place in front and the repair shop in back. I just happened to stop here for an oil change for my daughter’s vw. VWs are a pain because they require VW approved synthetic oil. A lot of oil change places don’t seem to be aware of this or care. The young man running the oil change shop knew right off that the VW needed synthetic oil, but checked the computer anyway to make sure he had the right oil before putting the car on the lift. Sounds simple, but lots of places don’t do that. The staff was very friendly and fast. I’ll go back. Synthetic oil change was $ 55, a good price for this area, another chain shop wanted $ 84

I only came in for a state inspection, but Steve was quick to reply to my email when I tried to schedule an appointment for it (appointments are not required for inspections FYI, you just walk in).
I was a bit confused when I came in because there’s no actual office. The techs just stand around in the garage and will generally welcome you and ask you what you’re there for when you drive in. It took all of 20 minutes for my inspection (which cost $ 30) and I was on my merry way.

My wife and I have been here twice for oil change and we like the speed and friendly service. They don’t push to sell additional services or replacement products, like wipers or air filters, which is a nice change when compared to dealer repair departments.

Love these guys! I’ve been going here for years to get my oil changed and other typical maintenance for my civic (nothing too big). They are always so friendly and quick and I feel like the only types of people that work their are southern gentlemen which is always a plus.
I recently came in to get my oil changed, windshield wiper fluid replaced, and car inspected. They took care of me and I left and ran some errands and was called when my car was ready. They called earlier than they told me they would (under promising and over delivering is always a great route to go). When I got there to pick up my car, I was in and out so fast and they did not charge me for my winder shield wiper fluid. Awesome!
I’ll definitely continue coming here!

Fabulous place!!! We just got our oil changed and it only took about 15 minutes. The young man who worked with us was courteous and professional, and I really felt cared for. Felt like a 1950’s gas station service! Will definitely go back!

Steve the owner of Express is as helpful and honest as you could hope to find at a repair shop, And yes they are a full service repair shop besides a place to get a fast oil change. Matt is a mechanic I have known for years from his days at another local shop to now working at Express. Extremely fast and knowledgeable. Ive taken fleet trucks as well as my personal truck in many times and Its always a great experience, good prices and done right quickly.
James is the manager and I cant say enough good about James, He personally helped me get my truck through the state inspection, taking the time to listen to what the problems were and telling me what I needed to do to make the repairs myself since I had been out of work for many months.
I made the repairs with his guidance, it passed inspection and I just wanted to let anyone who reads this, if you are looking for fast personable and honest repairs done you wont find a better place with better people in the area,

I’ve been getting my oil changes here for a few years now. The guys are always courteous and explain what they’re doing under the hood. And, they live up to the express name by being fast! The other fluids get topped off (washer fluid, power steering) and they provide suggestions for what might need attention to the car.

I came here in a pinch because I needed an oil change. The gentleman who assisted me was named Brandon. He was kind and friendly from the very beginning asked me what it was that I wanted and executed.
He did not attempt to up sell me or to inform me of minor problems or problems that didn’t really exist in an attempt to get more money from the service. The oil change really did take about 10 minutes and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with the service. I will definitely return here for my oil change needs. They understand that if you treat your clients well they’ll return.

Needed an oil change on our E350 van and found this place via Unilocal!Quickest and most proficient oil change place I’ve been to in recent years. They inspected everything (all fluids, lights, etc) for safety as well. All in all I’m happy with the efficiency so I’ll definitely recommend and return. While I was there I also got the rear differential fluid changed all in under 35 minutes.

I’ve been taking my car here for a couple months now– the first time being to drop in for a quick oil change. It really only takes about 10 minutes, and you don’t have to get out of the car! They did it gently enough to where my 9 month son who was asleep in the carseat, didn’t even stir.
They’re honest, professional, and quick. Highly recommended.

So glad that I was recommended to this place! They figured out why my Kia was losing oil when 2 other shops and the dealership could not. They also fixed an exhaust problem that was still occurring even after paying $ 1700 to the AAA place. Oh, and they charged more than fairly (only one hour labor for the exhaust problem). Only go here if you’re serious about getting your vehicle fixed.

Since moving to Apex 4 years ago, I’ve been going to JiffyLube on Laura Duncan Rd. The serivce there was great until last year when they changed ownership. At that time I started looking for a new oil change center. I tried this place first, and now there is no need to continue my search.
The staff is very professional over the phone and in person. They took time to answer any questions that I might have. They explained to me their system of safety checks, that insures that my car is being taken care of fully.
The last time that I came in for a service both of my daughters we sleeping in the car, and, unlike JiffyLube I didn’t have to wake them up, by taking them out of the car. They serviced my car gently enough that neither of my two kids woke up.
In Conclusion, if you want great service and great prices, this is the place for you.

Looking for an honest mechanic in the area? … I know, seems like a hard thing to find.
I used Matt back when he worked at a different shop in Raleigh, and my business has followed him over to Express Oil in Apex. He works in the back building where they have a full service mechanic shop. You wouldn’t know they were more than just a oil change place when you pass by!
Friendly, competent staff and a great Mechanic with reasonable prices make this place my first choice in the area. I drive down from north Cary and get some great seafood next door while getting my vehicle serviced here :)

I have passed this place a number of times when I would travel down 55.
I had my own oil (Amsoil) and filter. I called a few Oil Change places and they told me they would give me a $ 2.00 discount off there oil change if I used my own oil and filter. ?? Well, I made a few other phone calls, they same reply. I stopped at Express Oil Change and spoke with Steve, he said he would do it for far less than the others. I did take my oil and filter to them to change. The next day I also had them change a fuel filter for me. I had my on filter. They were ½ the price of other garages, even the one I used for repairs before RJ’s. It looks like I have a new mechanic. They do all kinds of work also. A garage in the back of the main building is where all the mechanic work is done by a certified tech.
Steve and his staff were friendly and through. They gained my trust.
