The Cammarata Family moved down to Apex North Carolina in 1995. Silvio and Josephine are the owners and founders of this fine Establishment! Silvio has been making Italian food for more than 50 years!

Stopped by in for lunch yesterday got myself a chicken parm with vodka sauce on a hero
Yes a very unusual request especially down here in the south but no questions asked they whipped it up for me hands down the best vodka sauce I had since I left New York honestly might have even been better
But the best part of my whole experience was complementing the chef and her saying it made her day and hearing the accent of a little older Italian women, I don’t think I understood a word she said but it made me feel like I was right back home

This is a family owned local chain. They also have a bigger location in Fuquay Varina. Very friendly staff and quick service. The owner works mostly out of the Apex location. Super funny while he is cooking in the kitchen. Very clean and more upscale than most quick serve pizza places.

So happy to discover this yummy spot! We got the fried mushrooms, volcano rice ball, wings & boneless wings. Everything was hot, fresh & amazing! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the space was pretty tight & when we walked in & asked about using a high chair, the waiter/host made kind of a big deal about figuring out where to put us. So, we stood there with the whole restaurant staring at us while he figured it out. Also, the same waiter (he was super nice, just not with it) put in zucchini sticks for our order, instead of fried mushrooms. He changed it before they came out, but we ended up waiting longer. He also forgot to bring out the slice of pizza we ordered, but when he realized it at the end of the meal, we told him not even to bring it because we were so full already. He forgot to take it off the bill, though. Little things, but they added up. It wouldn’t keep us from going back, though. The food made up for it!

The new J & S Pizza is even better than the other. The garlic knots are the best we’ve ever had anywhere. New York has nothing on Apex and you can add J & S to the list!!!

Good spot for the new location. And just like they said in the sign posted in the window of the old space, they’ve achieved scoring the extra room they wanted. And it’s overall just a nicer strip of real estate.
Same overpriced pizza but with a larger Italian menu, which I’m highly in favor of. Didn’t get adventurous like I wanted to though. I was just there to check out the new spot. It’s definitely an improvement. But like I said in the previous review, if the pizza was maybe 50 cents cheaper per slice, this would be my new regular stop.
Can’t wait to try the new dishes.
