We have had Joe come out and repair several of our appliances. He is fast, friendly, and gets the job done right. Would highly recommend him!

I’ve used Joe for several repairs on aging laundry equipment; the first time, a washer in a rental unit had a cracked tub — he looked the part up and said he’d be happy to order a $ 100 tub and charge about $ 120 for labor… or, we could take a chance on a metal tape seal! That washer is still running, with the tape only, quite a few years later — the cost of a service call. I called him again when our personal washer had some obviously bad bearings happening — sounded like a cat was being murdered every time it ran. He was able to replace these along with some other things «to do» for a very reasonable cost (I don’t recall exactly, but it was definitely worth it) — and that washer is also still running at my parents (my wife wanted a *blue* set just a little while later… ha!). That time, he noticed a broken start knob and walked out to the truck and gave me a replacement which worked, but didn’t exactly fit — for free — I was very happy with that, since I’d looked up the «exact replacement part» online and found it for $ 35! For that much, I was resigned to keeping the pliers handy to start it! These were all mechanical units, not the fancy electronic ones now but I felt he gave stellar service and advice on when to fix and when to discard.

Agree with the other 5 star reviewer: I just had a similar experience with Just Right. Extremely knowledgeable, fast, and professional. The experience shows. It has been a while since I have been this impressed with a service call. They diagnosed, fixed, and tested my dryer in about 10 minutes.

Wow– I’m very surprised at the one other review for Just Right Appliance because our experience w/​Joe and his team have always been 180 degrees in the opposite direction. My husband first found Joe when our dryer went several years ago– it was a least 15 years old at the time and we figured it was toast. However, we decided to use a repairman first before replacing. We’ve had great experience w/​Joe since then since our house is 20 years old and at the time when many appliances are starting to go ka-​put.
Joe came right out and was able to determine quite quickly that the problem was related to a switch that turned off the dryer whenever it got too hot. And– we didn’t know it, but our vent wasn’t properly attached and lint was backing up by the dryer back which is what caused it to get too hot. Joe fixed the switch/​reset and also corrected the vent problem. Zero issues w/​the dryer for over 2 years. Recently, the motor went bad so we decided to replace the dryer since it is quite loud and located in a central living area. Joe diagnosed the bad motor and we’ll use him for the install of the new dryer as well due to the vent/​space issue we have in that area.
We’ve also used Joe’s service for a refrigerator repair– which was only 2 years old, but under warranty– as well as several dishwasher repairs. The dishwasher was also pushing 20 years so we did two minor repairs before we decided to replace the whole thing. Joe was helpful in selecting the new dishwasher w/​recommendations about controls and features that were most effective and efficient. He then installed the new one– which took some time and 2 trips because of the awkward size and location of the current counter. In the end though, he was able to get it flush w/​my counter-​top– which was my main concern.
Overall, Joe has been courteous, honest, always on time, and very helpful. His prices are also competitive and he’s been known to waive a service call fee for very quick items as well. Since I always prefer to try to repair before replace, we keep his magnet on the fridge for easy reference because he’s the only appliance guy we use.

My dryer just sat at me beeping, and although I have an Electrical Engineering degree and have fixed the dryer before, there wasn’t enough time to deal with taking it apart again, and so I reluctantly called a repairman. What a mistake.
He showed on up time, and spent about 10 minutes looking at it before declaring that the start button was bad and I should just replace the entire dryer.
Really? Throw out the dryer because a $ 10 part was bad? He tried to convince me that the part would be very expensive, but I insisted he call back the next day with an estimate for repair.
This would have been difficult to diagnose given that he obviously hadn’t taken the dryer apart to test the switch. Now curious, I did take apart the dryer to discover the switch was perfectly fine.
The repairman called back a week later, only now his story was the motor was bad and I should buy a new dryer. No mention of the start switch at all, and he hadn’t taken apart the dryer to even test the motor!
These guys were a huge waste of time and money. Either they’re grossly incompetent or the entire thing is a scam. It wouldn’t be bad money– charging $ 75/​visit to poke around for 10 minutes and declare the dryer to be a lost cause.
