Decent course to play but it certainly was NOT worth over $ 50 to play. The greens weren’t very well maintained and the cart guys were extremely rude about sending everyone to the tee boxes and making sure we were out on time. Our tee time was 10:15 and we weren’t on the first tee box until 11.

Started off good, went downhill from there. Teeing off adjacent to the Intracoastal, I thought ‘what a great spot we found today’. And a round with cart for $ 18 can’t be beat. There’s a reason it’s only $ 18… The fairways and rough aren’t in good shape at all, and some of the greens had recently been aerated so they had holes. The guy I was golfing with turned his ankle on the fairway in this hole that came out of nowhere. Upon closer inspection, it was a pipe in the ground, pointing straight up and about 8 inches across, with no cover or cap on it. the grass had grown around it somewhat, hiding it essentially, until my cart partner fell in. The absolute low-light of this course isn’t the course itself though, it’s the clubhouse. If you’re looking to run in at the turn for a hot dog and Gatorade, be prepared to stand around. We waited 8 minutes for anyone to appear, only to have her bring an order out for a table that was dining in. She knew we were standing there, but refused to look at us, tell us she’d be with us soon, or anything. She was an older, slower woman with absolutely no sense of urgency. She never once smiled, said thank you, or did anything but treat us as if we had interrupted her. And the kicker was, when she handed me my receipt to sign, she told me «ya know, they don’t put a line in there for a tip, but if you want to tip I’ll adjust it for you.» I wanted to bite her head off, but told her to put $ 4 on as a tip, and to find another job. I have to say, I have never seen such a slow, mean person manning the bar at a golf clubhouse. Everyone knows that guys are coming in at the turn to get something quick and jump back in the cart. For a sport where speed of play is so crucial, you *have* to get the right people selling the food and beverage!
