We are certified to perform Brake & Lamp checks. All technicians and service writers are ASE certified, with continuing education. We work with suppliers such as Napa, AC Delco, and Jasper as well as many dealers to provide you with quality replaced parts.

Our technicians are all ASE certified. We invest in the most advanced diagnostic and repair technology to help you with your car troubles once and for all.

We are one of the only AAA approved auto repair centers in the high desert, Since 1982!

We have 3 locations, each location is STAR certified to both test and repair your vehicles’ emission system.

Additionally, as part of the California Consumer Assistance Program (CAP), we are here to help you thru the process for financial assistance if applicable.

We service all late model and hybrid vehicles, as wells as Medium and Heavy Duty diesels trucks. Fleet contracts are welcome.

A female friend of mine asked if she could write her review here – she went here just for tires but after 3 hours of waiting I got a made up «work necessary» estimate of $ 1,337.72 of repairs they deemed necessary to avoid a catastrophic event! instead I decided to go to another mechanic and the only thing required was brake pads and a rotor job which was very reasonable for $ 296.28. I do not recommend this business!

Professional and courteous, I was a walk-​in and was serviced right away. I came in for a smog check and was promptly processed, took no longer than 15 minutes to get my smog check done. They didn’t try to up-​sale me with a bunch of useless maintenance options, they only recommended things they thought I might need like a headlight restoration, which I felt that I needed. They even gave me a small discount after I told them I found them on Unilocal!Would definitely recommend others do their maintenance service here if you’re in the Apple Valley area ^_^

Well, I originally thought this was a great place… Friendly, knowledgeable staff with fair prices (based on a smog check service). Since then I have needed my vehicle repaired twice. The first repair was a little high, but it was a computer part so I figured they were only passing on the high cost of the part. The second repair, however, was over $ 700 for replacement of a thermostat & coolant sensor, as well as a radiator flush (that I have since found was completely NOT needed because I’d had one done 6 mos. before). As far as I can tell, I was overcharged between $ 200-​$ 300!!! Not to mention the completely unnecessary $ 220 flush. I will never be back! And if you value your hard earned money, I would suggest another shop!

I had an engine light come on and I am from out of town so I did a few searches on found them on Unilocal and the reviews were spot on. The service was great, the 2 ladies on the office were professional and courteous, and got me back on the road quickly. The prices were reasonable and they were thorough. Now I know where to send my mom to service her car.

Friendly staff. professional and courteous an decent prices. Went in to get my smog done with no appointment had a few customers ahead of us but over all was pretty quick. They charged $ 30 for a new gas cap which seemed pricey compared to the smog of $ 40 but usually I pay $ 55 elsewhere for smog. Will recommend them since overall experience was good.

The manager and staff at Big Apple are so wonderful! I had a tire light on in my car and was a long way from home when I pulled in asking for help. They were already pretty busy but I got immediate help. They quickly diagnosed a punctured tire and a slow leak and in a few minutes my spare was on and I was back on the road– along with good advice about safe travel on a spare. The manager and staff were so friendly and helpful. Thanks for helping out a Mom and her kid who were desperate to get home!

Wish I could have minus stars. Took car there and said needed brakes. Charged about $ 500. Called the dealer and they charged less. Get ready to bend over if you get service there. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU ARE WANTING TO OVER PAY! Their claim to fame is they are a AAA approved shop. Guess that gives them permission to over charge, especially senior citizens.

Have had some dealings with this big apple in the past and was not as happy as I am with the one on hwy 18 but they did save my husband when the one on 18 was closed… they sent a tow truck to pick him up 50 miles away and fixed his truck for free after it was serviced at 18… they really saved the day for us !! All we can say is thank you !! Jack is simply the best

Avoid!
Went for an oil change, and the next day my water reservoir is empty and I’m on the side of the road with an overheated car. Why were my water hoses off for an oil change you ask? That’s a great question.
