History

Established in 1992.

Life Time Fitness was founded in 1992 by President and Chief Executive Officer, Bahram Akradi. From a humble beginning, operating just one small fitness club in Brooklyn Park, MN, Life Time Fitness has grown to become a transformative player in the Health and Fitness Industry. Today, Life Time fitness operates 107 premier health clubs in 30 markets all across the United States and Canada. These clubs have become known as the destination for anyone passionate about their health.

Under the guidance, and leadership of Bahram Akradi Life Time The Healthy Way of Life Company has continued to expand to accomplish Bahram’s vision of Healthy People and a Healthy Planet. Today Life Time owns and operates; MyHealthCheck USA, Life Time Academy, Life Time Foundation, Experience Life Magazine, and Life Time Athletic Events.

Life Time (LTM) completed its initial public offering with the New York Stock Exchange in 2004.
