Zach and his crew are top-​notch. Very contentious and always make sure to do their best to get the job done right. We are very lucky to have them take care of our 4 older vehicles, (our 2 sons are in college and we have to squeeze as many miles as we can out of these cars). The best moment was when they fixed my Nissan about a year ago. I’m always looking for the least expensive way to go, so they used a rebuilt part. When the re-​built part they used failed just a few months later, Zach insisted that «that repair should have lasted at least a year to 2 years minimum!» and then proceeded to fix it again free-​of-​charge, which included using a newer part. I did not ask for or expect him to do that. (And it was kinda cute how indignant he got, he really takes pride in getting it right.) I’ve had rebuilt parts from other mechanics fail before, but they certainly never took it personal and certainly never insisted on fixing it again for free. After that I told Zach he had a customer for life, (He already did, but that sealed the deal). If there’s such thing as karma, they have a lot of good karma coming their way.

Took very good care of my old van. They’re honest, nice and knowledgeable. I will never go anywhere else again.

The mechanics here are honest, efficient, and friendly. I drive up from Auburn to have them take care of my car and it has always been more than worth it.

We were on our way to Tahoe when my car started heating up. Applegate was nearby so we decided to play it safe and to have it looked at. We were helped right away by Zachary, who took a look at it and explained to us what to do to a least get us there, at no charge at all! Definitely, helped us out and gave us some peace of mind

We moved to Colfax 3 years ago and started asking around about a good auto repair place. Applegate kept being mentioned and now we know why! The tech there (Zack) is a really good trouble shooter and won’t BS you about repairs that don’t really need repair. We have two crown Vic’s and a Ford pickup. You can drop off after hours as well. Five stars!

I found Zach and the other mechanics here to be very knowledgable, and Zach answered all of my questions thoroughly. He was very professional and I got the feeling he and the guys there were honest and trustworthy (as a single woman that is very important to me). They seem to be passionate about their work/​business. I would definitely recommended them.

I stopped here on my way from SF to Tahoe in July when I suspected my car was overheating. These guys were great! They checked out my car immediately, confirmed that it was starting to overheat, told me exactly what to do as I drove over the Donner pass, and told me what to do once I got to Tahoe or back to the city. And they did not charge me a thing! They were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them.

I am also an Applegate resident so may be a bit biased due to their convenience, but I have also tried many mechanics from Auburn to Roseville and find these guys are the best. They are always reasonably priced, often offering several repair alternatives with a price range, and give an honest diagnosis. To me being able to trust you are not being cheated or overcharged are the most important factors for mechanics — and I have that trust with this place.

You needn’t look any further for auto repair help. I always drop off my vehicle the night before and get a call the next day with a repair estimates and diagnostics. If parts are needed they usually arrive that day or the next. You can have fairly major work done correctly, the first time, for a reasonable price in a matter of just a few days. Mike, Zach & Dave are the best.
