The best donuts and cookies. I grew up in the neighborhood and love their baked goods.
Even though I work early in the morning they’re open and I can get fresh donuts to bring in with me. The wonderful ladies behind the counter are a hoot to chat with and I always leave with a smile on my face.

Amazing classic bakery. Its so hard to find good bakeries anymore. This is great!!! I tried the coconut cream donut delicious! Selection is extensive prices very reasonable. Highly recommend this bakery

I ordered my daughter’s birthday cake in advance from another local bakery with very specific requests and even provided an image of what I was aiming for. The end result was a complete disaster. We called Simple Simon to see if they could help us out in emergency. Not only were they totally accommodating, they completely understood what I was asking for and provided EXACTLY that in a mere 1.5 hours. The cake was awesome looking, great tasting and the customer service was OUTSTANDING. Thank you so much for fixing a very important part of any birthday. My daughter loved it!

The staff are friendly and its has that Mom & Pop kind of charm.

Really. Really. Good. I used to go here as a child through my teenage years and I went back recently and it was just as good as I remembered. The staff was very friendly and the donuts, cookies, and carrot cake cupcake was amazing.

I haven’t been here since my childhood. Needing awesome cupcakes for some bribery I owed a coworker I went back after ten years and it was just as I remember. Absolutely amazing! Walked out with more than cupcakes and the girls behind the counter were nothing short of fabulous! They even threw in the broken extras of the kind of Danishes I bought for free! Extremely friendly staff. And very reasonable prices. Only wish they had a tip jar. =)

An éclair that makes my heart pound. Danishes that impose a perma-​grin on my face. But the customer service was unbelievable.
I’m on an overnight in a hotel downtown and upon check-​in decided to succumb to my craving for something sweet. After I Unilocaled my options I laced up my shoes and headed out just over a mile to this little gem of a bakery. Well, first I called to find out what time they closed. Marion answered the phone and said, «in about 12 minutes but we’ll be here for hours — I’ll leave the door open for ya!»
Sure enough the door was open and Marion met me from behind the counter with a smile. I asked for her recommendation (everything looked seriously good) so she started pointing out her favorites. I finally decided on a chocolate-​covered brownie and a caramel apple cupcake. But she was putting together a box! «Oh, no, Marion!» I said. «I just need something sweet for tonight!» «But you have to try this one and one of these! And they’re our treat since you walked all this way!»
Bit by gloriously sweet bit she filled up that bakery box. I had no hope of getting out of there with less than 10 lbs of sugary goodness once I divulged that I was an airline pilot on a 5-​day trip — she packed even more goodies into the box! «Share them with your crew!» she said.
And then she came out from behind the counter to give me a genuine grandmotherly hug «since I’d been away from my own family for so long». I know these Wisconsinites are some of the friendliest folks on the planet, but Marion gets a gold star.
As I was slowly backing out of the shoppe another customer entered. She took one look at me and my laden-​down arms and said, «Oh, what did she get you addicted to this time? A long time ago I came in for one cupcake and I’ve been coming back weekly for years, every time she sends me home with something equally addicting!»
I was nearly at the door when she told me that I really should take that package of about 2 dozen cookies «because they’re ugly and no one will buy them anyway and you can share them with your crew». Unbelievable. Surely they don’t make any money if they give all their yummies away???
Some of the best home-​baked goodies I’ve ever eaten, and far and away the most sincere, loving customer service I’ve ever received.
Thank you, Marion. Next time I layover in ATW I promise I’ll be back to give my pancreas a workout! (And get my hug).

Everything I’ve gotten here has been great!

This place is ran by old ladies that know how to cook. Everything is made form scratch. Best place to order pecan and pumpkin pies for the holiday season. If your a big fan of Red Velvet. They have some tasty Red Velvet cup cakes.
