While out visiting my cousins in Appleton, WI, I stopped in here. Had a pedicure. Lexii did a great job with my toes, very detailed. I would make this a regular stop if I lived in the area.

«Just a trim» doesn’t seem to be a term that they define at this school. A quater of an inch turned into 5 inches worth of layers. Sadly, my precious little locks on the floor couldn’t be reattached.
Make sure you are crystal clear with them about what you want because they certainly won’t refund you if you aren’t pleased.

Of the 3 beauty schools in Appleton, this is the most expensive ($ 11 haircut, instead of $ 8…and other services are similarly more expensive). It’s a Redken-​using salon, and they sell Redken products. It’s also the newest — it just got its accreditation (which the students are happy about — it allows them to apply for financial aid!).
I think this place is kind of a hidden gem — it’s lesser-​known compared to Martin’s/Gill-Tech, and seems to be much less busy. I found a recent haircut there to be really relaxing (not ever the case at Martin’s or Gill-​Tech), as my stylist had lots of space to maneuver around inside their relatively spacious salon. [Besides hair, they do other nail/​spa services, too.]
My stylist, Bonnie, was super-​sweet and quite skilled with long hair — perfect, as I have long hair (and wanted to keep it long!). Bonnie gave me the perfect subtle layers, and framed my face nicely. She had a great «bedside manner,» managing a nice conversation while simultaneously cutting and styling my hair. She also smartly asked me before we got started whether I wanted my naturally curly/​often straightened hair to end up curly or straight that day — it affected her shampoo & other product choice.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place to others who are looking for a relatively inexpensive salon service and don’t mind spending a bit more time to have it done by a student.
