Awful customer service, the lady that is the lead pharmacy tech has no manners and no customer service skills, talks to you with no eye contact, cuts you off when you ask questions

Solid 2 score here. They are open 24 hours which is great but cannot fill Rx about 7– to 10-​percent of the time due to seemingly random computer outages. This should really be a public health concern, and the board of pharmacy should investigate. It essentially locks up any prescription meds for 12 hours or so randomly, especially if they already ran your Rx insurance profile and locked up the funds but cannot fill it – You can’t go anywhere else without paying full price.
They also hand out prescriptions without asking about consultation. I had stomach valve surgery and cannot take giant pills yet this place continually fills horse pills without asking or consulting the MD. If they would consult with me I would open the bag and note the massive size that I cannot take without walking out. However, they ignored their responsibility, and I didn’t think to inspect my Rx like I would a cheap fast food order. INSPECT IT before you pay.
The pharmacy counter is staffed with nitwits-​in-​training, sometimes from local tech trade colleges, who barely know their arse from a hole in the ground. They are slooooooow. Also, everything is replaced with the cheapest possible generic substitute from whatever God-​forsaken third-​world land half-​way across the globe. Look up some of the random FDA violation reports from their vendors (the rare times the FDA inspects abroad), and you might be surprised. I don’t necessarily blame this CVS for these policies but it’s how the company rolls.
The store is a ghost of its former self, selling garbage in every category, but trying to sell so much that it has no good stock or selection of anything. It was cut into a third so the building could be sublet to a new supermarket. In summary they don’t have the select items you might expect from a full-​featured medical supply. That is a damn shame since the good old pharmacy across the street (Colonial) closed its doors a few years ago.

Went in to grab some beer and NyQuil, African American manager lady asked to see my friends ID’s as well, too bad they didn’t have their wallets on them so we couldn’t get the beer. Whatever. But when I asked about the NyQuil she still said she’ll need to see my friends ID’s wtf dumb bitch made me drive to grab some NyQuil elsewhere. Lol her job is hella precious isn’t it?

I came to buy insulin last night 6÷11÷16 and waited in line from 9:40pm-10:15pm at which point I was denied regular insulin, which is over the counter medication, because I did not bring a prescription. I have never had to bring a prescription for regular insulin before. The employee was very rude and dismissive of the issue. I will never return to this location again. I bought my regular insulin today 6÷12÷16 at Walmart pharmacy with no issues and no prescription needed.

The manager sucks over there .she is so rude with customer. She just does what ever she likes, not just with me even with others too. If she say she can’t than thats it. Her name is vinesa (i am not sure if i spell it right) but she is so rude.

Store chopped in half by landlord, to allow for Aldi store… The charming 99¢ store on steroids quality of this place is gone. Still, with formerly 24 hour Walmarts shuttering at 12 midnight these days, this is the 3 am spot in town for the casual insomniac, or when you need hemorrhoidal ointment and a jar of pickled pigs feet in the idle if the night. If you’re really bored, you can TP someone’s house with the extensively long receipt they print for you.
Game not as strong as before when they had an aisle for Arcadia High School hats and potting soil. Now, just another cramped medicine store that sells liquor and greeting cards.
… And hemorrhoid cream and pigs feet, I guess.

Bought Stella Artois beer 12 pack tonight which is June 1 2016 that expired on Jan 12 2016. I have been throwing up all last night.

Avoid this pharmacy at all cost! Horrible customer service, rude and incompetent. They have committed so many mistakes with my fathers medicine. ALWAYS check what you are pick up and make a copy of the doctors rx so when you pick up you can match it up!

Horribly long wait for the pharmacy. I’m talking like an hour which sucks when you are waiting for double antibiotics for a leaking ear. Why don’t they have more people working??!
I wish kaiser would contract with more CvSs to prevent this kind of cluster-​F.

The pharmacy in this place is legendary. The lines are ridiculous. One for drop off. One for pick up. Both impossibly long. I went there after an urgent care visit only to see my condition worsen during the 1.5hour wait for a basic antibiotic readily available and unrestricted. If you have a choice, go somewhere else pronto!

This review for a freaking CVS is specifically for the Manager or Worker ‘Eric.’ Eric, as he states, «has been in this business for 40 years.» No shady business gets by Eric, especially when somebody else sets off their security alarm. Now instead of pursuing the Hispanic lady briskly walking away, Eric decides to blame it on a group of 3 Asians who apparently acted shady before even entering their premises.
*Eric actually had the nerve to tell me I looked shady with my friends coming in the store because he claimed we tripped the alarm while I was making my purchase.*
Bottom line, if you want to be prejudged for being shady and stealing, by all means come down to this CVS in Arcadia, CA. Apparently Eric thinks this area is as shady and dangerous as DTLA.
Never have I been so disgusted with the conduct of a CVS employee that I needed to go flame them on Unilocal.CVS, keep your workers in check about their own ignorance and not be prejudiced towards any group of people. Especially ones that grew up coming to this CVS, it’s really bad for business.
Don’t worry about banning me from this CVS Eric, There’s 3 more locations next to my house. Glad you were able to exercise that power!

I needed a TB test clearance for a new job. I learned that certain CVS locations have something called «The minute clinic». Its like a Dr’s office except in a drug store. The Minute Clinic offered the TB test i needed and it seemed like the most convenient option for me.
It’s a spacious store and was pretty organized for the most part. The makeup counter was a bit of a mess but that’s pretty much the case at any drug store lol. So back to the Minute Clinic… it only has ONE person working… which is stupid. And because there is only one person working, the line moves very VERY slowly. They don’t take insurance for most of their testing which sucks because they charged to not only perform the TB test but also to read the TB test 2 days later. I also found out that you can save your spot in line ahead of time so that you’re not just waiting around in CVS for hours. YES, I did spend a lot of time waiting around there and Yes, I did get suckered into buying a bunch of stuff i don’t really need.
So, if you need a quick diagnoses or test, i would recommend the Minute Clinic. Just make sure you go online and check in from home to save your spot in line ahead of time!

Came in close to midnight for some specific ear drops and luckily they had them. I was really glad to see a convenient place like this open 24 hours so close to home, it’s good to know I can come here in an emergency. Only downside is that their prices are much steeper than target etc, but that’s what I get for running in when all of the cheaper stores have been closed for hours.

Store of Incompetent and ripped off combination!
My son gets sick very often so doctor prescribed him a liquid vitamin to help his immune system. My son has been using that vitamin for almost a year. Then in February, when my husband went to CVS and was told that our new insurance doesn’t cover the bottle any more. We have to pay for $ 280/​bottle out of our pocket. It’s ridiculous for a small bottle vitamin costs $ 280. So I checked with the local small pharmacy (again) and was told our insurance DOES cover it and they even said $ 280/​bottle is a ripped off! That pharmacy didn’t tell me what price they are selling but they told me even without insurance that is a BIG ripped off price.
And guess what? My husband went to CVS again (yeah even after I told him not go there any more) and all the sudden CVS told him that vitamin is covered! Why? Because the small pharmacy I contacted earlier then contacted CVS to transfer the prescription over to them and all the sudden CVS told us it’s covered?!
Actually this is not the first time CVS told me my insurance doesn’t cover for something while I found out later it does cover from another pharmacy. But because of the amount didn’t trigger the alarm, I didn’t bother to check if CVS is accurate. If it’s not because $ 280/​bottle beyond my tolerance, I don’t think I’d find out how much CVS ripped me off. Now to think about it, I think we have lost more money than we can image due to incompetence (or stupidity) of CVS. We both work and have very good insurance. There’s no way that just one year alone last year, the prescriptions we paid out of our pockets exceeded $ 1k. We only got sick couple of times last year plus I have high blood pressures and that’s all. There’s no way our prescriptions bills can exceed $ 1k.
Please stay out of CVS for your prescriptions even your insurance pay for everything. This is a ripped off place and will cost you money one day!

The pickup queue take an average of 15 – 20 mins per patient.
Drop off is even more painful.
If u are a blood pressure patient don’t come here as it will elevate ur BP.
Even if u get confirmation these dumb people will let you wait for hours.
If I can avoid these lazy people even a single star I would do that.

After leaving Walmart due to their «were closed for lunch», poor customer service and «I dont know when your meds are coming» bs, I have found heaven at this 24hr pharmacy.
No matter how busy they are, Selene and Amanda are always smiling and always friendly.

Great customer service is hard to find, so when I do find it I must acknowledge it.

So this review is specifically the pharmacy department and I don’t normally care enough to write these but this woman tonight was so rude not only to me but to the customers in front of me. She was rolling her eyes and glaring at every one of us.
I have worked in customer service for over ten years, and I’m pretty easy going and understand you can be cranky because I don’t know her life, maybe it’s the worst day of her life but I don’t think nagging my stuff and slamming everything in the bag on the counter is absolutely necessary. I have never had this problem here before… But she definitely makes me want to not come back.

It has taken about 2 hours to get a partial prescription order. First, it took me 40 minutes of standing in line, finding out there’s no prescriptions waiting for me, me calling my doctor to make sure they sent the prescription, the pharmacy not finding anything in their fax machine, me calling my doctor to find they sent the prescription once more, and standing in line to find out that the pharmacy was finally be able to obtain the prescription from their outdated technology. Then it takes the pharmacy technician 20 minutes to manually type all the prescriptions in (at least I assume that’s what they’re doing since they seem to type forever.). Add another half hour to wait for the prescription to be filled and another half hour to stand in line to finally get my prescription. The employees don’t seem too happy working here either but I don’t blame them. The frustrating technology and the fact that they are understaffed are holding everyone back.

It’s your typical CVS with the added bonus of a Minute Clinic.
Kinda lame that CVS stopped selling tobacco and tobacco products. I get it but, I don’t like it!
