Established in 2015.

Dr. Seung Jeong was the co-​owner of Balance and Harmony Acupuncture in Monrovia for nearly 10 years, serving around 2,500 annually Since 2005. Dr. Jeong wanted to give his patients a better clinic experience. We opened our considerable size clinic, Gojeo Acupuncture on January 1st, 2015 in the Arcadia Urgent care building.

Seung grew up in South Korea learning herbal medicine from his grandfather and great-​grandfather. His true passion for Chinese medicine began in his late 20’s when he enrolled in University in South Korea. While saving up to move to the US, Seung worked in many low income and women’s clinics providing care to people in need. Once he moved to California Seung enrolled in the Emperor’s College in Santa Monica where he graduated with high honors. Seung Jeong L.Ac. is a board certified physician and has been practicing chinese medicine for over 15 years. He is so happy to be sharing this knowledge with his patients to give them the the most important key to better health; to understand your own body, and what works for you.

I started going for my back pain and leg pain, at the end of my session I feel relived. Iam sleeping good and my body is more relax. I’m very happy about their service. Dr. Jeong is very nice and you can feel that he care for his patients. Maria is great !!! Welcome you with smile. And always reminds me of your appointment. I’ve been coming here for 3 months.
I’m being treated for numerous things, carpel tunnel discomfort is the main area of treatment.
I was previously treated by another acupuncturist for 6 months && symptoms didn’t get better.
I’m so glad I made the change!
My symptoms have lessen significantly, I no longer need to wear a brace at night, my flare ups consist of soreness (once a week, if I get one)
He’s treated my anxiety also, it’s been a long while since I’ve had an attack!

Since 2014 I had injuries happened in Afghanistan and since then I had severe knee pain. I tried different doctors different Army medical facilities and different medicines. I was hopeless and I didn’t know what to do to have at least a day without pain. I decided to try acupuncture and I found Dr Gojo. Even after first session treatment it was like a miracle. I didnt belive that my knee pain gone so I decided to climb 20 stairs which was so difficult in the past and I surprised that my knee pain from level 10 turns to 5 and after 4 more sessions my knee pain almost gone.

After reading several reviews I decided to try acupuncture. I literally felt the effects as soon as my session ended. The Dr is amazing, very calm, gentle, respectful, understanding and most importantly God fearing. As soon as I entered the office my soul quieted and I felt as if I could spend the rest of the day there. It was so peaceful, I’m talking the peace that passes all understanding peaceful not the quiet peaceful then I learned that the Dr was a believer and it all made sense. I was so happy. No matter what your reason for visiting Gojeo: back pain, nerve pain, infertility, weight loss, e.g. I am confident that this is the right place. After all, you’re getting two healers for the price of one :-) Highly recommended!

When we decided that it was time to expand the family, we continued our treatment with Dr Jeong and focused on fertility. Dr Jeong is very detail oriented that he coordinated his treatment plan with my cycle. Both my husband and myself received the treatment together weekly. In addition, we also took the herbal medicine prescribed by Dr Jeong that was customized to our body condition. We really appreciated a talented accupunturist like Dr Jeong, who does not only treated his patients with his hand, but also with his heart. He is a really kind and friendly person. I conceived a few months after the treatment. We highly recommend Dr Jeong if one is looking for a natural fertility treatment or enhancement. Thank you, Dr Jeong!

I was given the option of botox injections into my neck muscles or acupuncture by my neurologist for cervical dystonia. I searched diligently on Unilocal and other sites and chose Dr. Jeong. I will be going for my 10th visit today and my neck muscles are finally loosening up and my husband says my head is not shaking as much. During the course of my treatment I had a mild flair up of diverticulitis which Dr. Jeong prescribed some Chinese herbs for that worked really well. I also had a flare up of DeQuervain’s tendinitis in my wrist that I had worn a splint for 4 months in the past until the pain had subsided. I was shocked that it only took one treatment by Dr. Jeong and the pain was gone. I need to warn you that he uses the acupressure pens every visit for me and they hurt so bad I can hardly stand it. That being said, I really think they are why I am getting so much better. I guess that adage no pain no gain is true in this case.
Parking is easy and ample and his office is immaculate and reminiscent of a spa. Maria does her job well and always sends a reminder of my next appointment. We were very bummed that our insurance does not cover acupuncture but if they did the copay would only be $ 5 less than what Dr. Jeong charges. Dr. Jeong really does his best to heal you and he is a kind person. My only concern is that his clinic is getting so popular that they might have trouble fitting me in. I hope not.

This was my first time doing acupuncture for sciatica nerve pain. The first session was unbelievable, I was able to walk out pain free. The needles are a bit euphoric to say the least. But the pain came back because my muscles are imbalanced, dehydration, and misaligned hips.
A massage therapist friend suggested to do the «trifecta» if you want to heal yourself of sciatica. She suggests doing a massage to loosen the muscles, then chiropractor adjustment to align the vertebraes and finish off with acupuncture to heal the nerves. If you’re suffering from sciatica, I suggest you follow that sequence of services. This is the place for acupuncture! I will be coming back here again once I schedule my massages and chiropractic needs.

My daughter suffers chronic pain at the joint between the thumb and the wrist because of frequent piano playing. I took her to see Dr. Joeng and in three sessions, she felt better already. Also, she has a nervous tummy that gives her chronic abdominal pain that nothing seems to help. Again, once a week session with Dr. Joeng helps to relieve the stress and minimize the pain. Dr. Joeng is funny and gentle. He is also very generous with using his disposable needles. He wants to make sure that my daughter feels comfortable in the process.
The place is clean and pleasant. His receptionist, Maria, is very sweet and kind. I just love her smiles. When I asked her if she can check our insurance for coverage, she didn’t hesitate. Unfortunately, our insurance policy doesn’t cover acupuncture but the price $ 225 for 5 sessions is well worth it. Oh, for new patients, it only cost $ 120 for three sessions.

I started having foot pain around 2007. I did the usual route to primary care physician, then to the podiatrist. He mumbled something about «neuroma» possibility and then proceeded to remove the ingrown toenail I was also there for. He also suggested I could get injections. After experiencing the excruciating pain from the toenail procedure, I declined. After a couple of years I experienced numbness and burning in the balls of my feet that then moved back to encompass the whole foot. I was given blood tests to disqualify diabetes and was again told there was nothing that could be done. Last year I got tired of having the pain and went to a neurologist to get a nerve test. I found out I had nerve damage and was prescribed a form of neurontin that made me dizzy. In January I started getting numbness in my fingers even while taking the medicine that was suppose to ease it! I decided to try acupuncture and am so glad I did.
I found the Gojeo clinic Unilocal reviews and decided to try it. I had seen an instructor at Five Branches Traditional Chinese Medicine University in Santa Cruz for treatment 20 years ago and had great relief for neck and shoulder pain. I was really glad I finally found the help I need. Dr Jeong is compassionate and thorough and is very knowledgable of what the root cause is rather than the symptom. The facility is clean and the space creates a relaxing environment in which to heal. I noticed results after the first treatment! I have also seen an improvement in my energy and emotional levels. I am grateful to finally find some relief after so many years of discomfort. I would recommend this clinic too all who can’t find answers from western medicine!

Having a previous experience that did not go too well, I was very cautious while looking through Unilocal for a new facility that offers this service. I came across gojeo acupuncture and decided to give it a shot. I met with Dr. Jeong and the rest was history. This has to be one of the most amazing and professional facilities I have ever been to.
The Dr is so informative and since my treatments there I have noticed a dramatic improvement and decrease in my arm, back and shoulder pain.

Since young I’ve been plagued with intestine and stomach discomforts. Usually results in pain and or diarrhea at least once a week (and usually in the middle of the night). More or less, I’ve been living with this crap for so long that I even taken this as normal. However, few months ago, after one serious episode of sitting on the toilet, I was in so much pain that I found myself saying prayers to a new found God.
After that ordeal, my wife decided that enough is enough and promptly introduced me to Dr. Jeong. Since then, things have taken a turn to the brighter side! Just 3 – 4 sessions later, I am already back to what the norm consider normal and I feel much much more energized. Dr. told me it was my liver that is weak and through acupuncture and herbal supplements, Dr slowly nurse and rebuild my liver’s energy.
The misconception about acupuncture is that people think it will only help muscle or joint pains. But it’s really more than just that. It does so much more like regulating the body’s internal energy, balancing it back to normal. Dr Jeong is very caring and he listens to all your rant about what went wrong with your body with a smile. Not to mention his prices are very very reasonable!
My wife and I owe many many thanks to the Dr. and I highly highly recommend Dr Jeong!

So, I been going to see dr. Jeog for about 3 months now. My initial visit was because my lack of energy and lots small problems add up due to my shingle over the summer (so crazy!)
As I slowly regain my energy I kinda unravel my ulcer problem and a lot of internal problem due to dr.jeong. As to my surprised he gave me a cheerful look and said * why don’t you tell me earlier!!! I could have treat them all together*
So along with the combination of Acupunture and herb dr prescribed to me I feel … Pretty good!
I have a long history of stomach problem I always carry 3 types of stomach pills with me depending on what kind of trick my stomach will be giving me that day. And now. I am free of that!!!
On the side note dr. jeong treat me with my back too. Those little way of adjusting trick from dr. Jeong. It works so well. But guys you do have to give the treatment a little time to settle in your body.
Give him a try and see for yourself in 1 month!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Jeong! I started coming here about 3 months ago for fertility problems. I’ve been TTC for more than 3 years now with no luck. After my initial check-​up, Dr. Jeong was so cheerful and positive about being able to help me. My cycle has been so irregular with heavy bleeding and severe cramps that lasted more than 7 days. I went for treatments twice a week, and to my surprise, within three weeks of treatments, my cycle became normal! My menses became lighter and only lasted 5 days without any pain! I was shocked. Still skeptical, I wanted to see how my next cycle would go. Sure enough, it came in 28 days, as opposed to 40+ days! Again, better flow, no pain, lasted only 5 days. I’m feeling much better overall and I’m optimistic that my body is better prepared for conception. I will update as my journey continues.
I have many allergies as well, including sinus problems and eczema. Whenever I let him know about any allergy problems, he is more than willing to help treat me, even if my primary reason for treatment is fertility. I had a bad case of eczema recently, and he gave me some herbal pills and treated me, and amazingly, my rashes have reduced dramatically!
Dr. Jeong really knows what he’s doing, and he is always so positive. He always says, «Don’t worry — I will help you.» I always leave his office feeling so hopeful and rejuvenated.
Again, I will update as my condition progresses. I am so grateful for Dr. Jeong!

I’ve been seeing Dr Jeong since May of this year when I was having some concerns about getting pregnant and getting my body ready for pregnancy. I’m happy to say that with Dr Jeong’s guidance, I’m now 15 weeks along and my pregnancy has been pretty smooth sailing so far!
On top of helping me get pregnant, he’s also helped me deal with first trimester issues (mainly constipation and morning sickness) and I’ve always felt instantly better after treatment.
Everyone’s different and everyone’s body reacts differently to different treatments. With that being said, Dr Jeong’s treatments have worked for me. He’s worth giving a try. Oh yea, office staff is great and the treatment rooms are every relaxing. I’ve had some great naps in those rooms!

Came in for carpal tunnel and swelling in my hands, It’s seen 6 weeks and my hands and forearms feel great! Along with the acupuncture, Dr. Jeong provided herbs. Not only is my pain reduced, but I feel better overall.

I’ve been going to see Dr. Jeong for a few weeks now and I’m feeling amazing! I had brain surgery a little over a year ago and ever since I’ve had terrible pain in my neck as well as headaches. Since going to Dr. Jeong my neck is almost 100% better. I know that it will never be 100% again but he has got me back to just about 100%! I only get headaches about 1 – 2 times a month! I was getting headaches about 4 – 5 times a WEEK! I sent me husband to see him and he helped him as well! My husband has chronic back pain due to an issue with his spine. My husband had results within the first session! After 3 sessions he hasn’t complained of his pain anymore. I would highly recommend going to Dr. Jeong, the office if nice and clean.
Not only has Dr. Jeong helped with me with my headaches but he has been helping me with infertility. The changes I’ve seen have been amazing! My periods are so much better and I didn’t even know that they weren’t normal before. Update on a baby soon to come!
