Kernels Popcorn

Love there popcorn, too bad there closed as of this past weekend. Anyone knows where they went? Jalapeño jack was my favorite. Sad and frustrated that i think i have to order popcorn from Canada location.

i always come here when im at the mall. the creamy caramel and double double butter are my favorite.

First off I came here because my family and friends from Canada said its really good: flavors like dill and ketchup. Upon arrival they no longer serve that flavor. Its only a Canadian exclusive now ****
Taste: I tasted the creamy butter (caramel)
It was light and crunchy and one of my favorite and the next flavor I tasted the kettle corn. Its was stale and nothing special.
Service: staff was very friendly and patient. They made me sample the spicy Thai /​jalapeño jack and the cheddar. So if I can give ⁴⁄₅ stars it would be customer service ****
Overall experience: I personally wouldn’t go back. The kettle corn old and trust me guys you’re better off going to the farmers market its fresh and way cheaper. They also raised they’re price. No more 2for $ 10 deals its now buy 2 get one free. ***I would rather go to popcornopolis or go to farmer’s market for you kettle popcorn lovers!!!

I did not know Kernels was a Canadian based company. After reading through these reviews I feel extremely blessed to have one of these stands at our mall, especially since they don’t even exist anywhere else in this country?! Whoa.
I used to buy those 5 dollar pre-​packaged bags (haven’t seen em lately?), and over the years, I’ve watched those bags get smaller and smaller (or maybe I grew up and got bigger??? And they just look smaller from my adult eyes vs lil child eyes???)… but stay at 5 dollars :(Despite the fact that prices have gone up (and bags got smaller)… this is still my favorite place ever to get popcorn.
I’m personally a huge huge fan of popcorn so maybe I’m biased. Whatever. My favorite flavors:
Jalapeño Jack
Thai Sweet Chili
Whalin White Cheese
Kettle Corn
So I’m a big fan of the saltier flavors. Creamy caramel seems to be a popular option, maybe I should try that. But I also really like the buffalo wings one, although not as much as the ones above. Cheddar is also good, but I only get that once in a while.
Basically, I have not met a flavor I did not like. I probably haven’t tried them all, but so far so good.
I love you Kernels!!! Never close down!!!

Best popcorn I have had in my entire life! My favorite was the creamy caramel with just the perfect amount of caramel and the chocolate, what girl doesn’t like a little chocolate? I finished half of a large bag in one sitting it was that good! Advice: have some dental floss in hand bit don’t worry, getting some extra cavities just might be worth it with this popcorn this place has become my drug dealer to my new addiction, beware! !

i sometimes make excuses to go to this mall, just because of Kernels!
they have some of the best popcorn that i’ve tasted– probably in the top 10. and i eat a LOT of popcorn!
if youre ever in this mall, stop at this kiosk.

WOOOOO Kernels popcorn! :) First time here because my friend said that their popcorn is the bomb!
The guy working here at that time was super nice by letting us try a few samples. They have a special deal here where you buy two bags of popcorn and you get the third free.
Decided to order two small creamy popcorn and totally forgot the other flavor :(
Popcorn is filled to the top, which is a plus. However, for the free bag, he combined the creamy caramel and flavor I forgot TOGETHER! Totally unexpected because we didn’t mention anything about mixing the two to him. The two flavors tasted okay in the same bag though!
Next time I’m in LA, I will be back to try out more flavors! P. S. I am eating the creamy caramel popcorn as I am writing this review! *NOM NOM*

Pricy! Buy the pail and u will get 50% percent off every time you bring it in for a purchase. However, they charge a flat rate of $ 3.50 regardless of flavor which isn’t so worth it if you picked cheese or something bc it’s worth less. I bought a few pails of rainbows for my daughters birthday party and came prepared. I emptied it into anther pail and returned making a few transactions!

Second to NONE. Apparently the other locations are in Canada or Korea. Makes it that much more special. The super kid and jalapeño are the greatest flavored ever! I also remember the Glendale galleria popcorn shop with that unicorn… RIP. I just went yesterday and I can’t wait to go back, this is bad.

Damn you Kernels Popcorn. Hate to love you. Love to hate you… You remind of the old Popcorn Palace that was in the Glendale Galleria during the early 90’s. It’s long gone now but I loved that place. I wish I never discovered the extra creamy caramel flavored popcorn perfection you sell. It’s straight up crack! It should be illegal… It’s so good. So damn good. I’m never going there again. Until I run out, of course… Which will probably be sometime this weekend. See you soon.

I had the pleasure to enjoy a bag of Kernels Popcorn and it was very tasty!
The portions are Big so I ate a lot of Kernels Popcorn and still had enough to share.

2 Large Bags for $ 10! Only certain flavors are included. Normally a large would run for $ 7.99.
Bought the Jalapeño Jack and Kettle. I enjoyed the kettle more. It’s not as good as the ones at the fair but still tasty. The jalapeño jack was too salty and wasn’t as fresh as the kettle, kinda stale. They claim they pop it fresh every morning so who knows…
Popcornopolis is still my fav but Kernels will do when I’m craving some popcorn.

Ahh… popcorn. who would have thought simple popcorn could be so addicting? And the idea of making them multi-​flavored? GENIUS!
I used to work at the Santa Anita Mall and I loved opening shift for one particular reason. They start super early to make all their flavors fresh daily and it’s like heaven once you step foot into the mall. The smell is so alluring that I once came before they opened to try to buy something. My inner fatty was calling out. Mall employee secret: Make friends with the staff when they’re not so busy, they’re really nice people. You might even get a surprise! :)
A grab bag is usually enough to satisfy my cravings, but if that’s not enough for you I suggest you go for the $ 5 pre-​packed bags. Not only will this give you more bang for your buck, but they really do pack these daily so you can bet that these are still fresh.

LOVE their kettle corn, jalapeño jack, creamy creamy, and cheese… I think they have 15 different flavors to choose from — the owner & workers are extremely friendly so ask for samples to pick your fav! then… prepare to be addicted… :D My entire family is addicted from my mom to my 2 year old cousins. Best part about this place is they make their popcorn fresh DAILY! you can taste the difference compared to other popcorn places — its fresh, and just enough flavor… I usually get the daily special they offer which is what I think is most worth it — 2 large bags for $ 10. Don’t take my word for it… Try it for yourself –Kernels is the best place to get fresh, flavorful popcorn!

I overheard a couple customers here once who said that the popcorn must be old, stored away and just flavored and salted later. $ 2 isn’t cheap at all when you consider the fact that they don’t even put much effort into making the grub except scooping the popcorn out.
Not surprisingly, I lost interest in Kernels.

I don’t think people understand how special this food stand really is! It may seem like any kind of popcorn stand, but it really isn’t!
This company originates in Canada, so there’s only two locations outside of that area, which is Korea. and THIS location! I mean, that makes it pretty special, right?
And to make things even better, it is delicious! There are so many flavors — many of which you could never find elsewhere, such as Thai Chili or Jalapeño Jack or even White Cheddar! If you’re not too sure about a flavor, they are willing to give you a sample.
Do yourself a favor and grab a bag! I suggest buying a bucket though. It’s $ 12.99 and everytime you bring it back for a refill, it’s 50% off!

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this is a Canadian-​based company. Having said that, this is one happy Canadian girl who was beyond ecstatic to finally see a Kernals kiosk here in So. Cal!
We found it by accident when we happened to be in Arcadia, taking out-​of-​town family to Santa Anita Mall (now my favorite mall, lol!)…and my heart skipped a beat when I saw it! For a split second, I felt like I was back in Toronto!
STILL…the yummiest popcorn EVER! The reason why I have always enjoyed Kernels is because their popcorn never leaves you with that oily gross feeling after you’ve inhaled the entire bag! The best way for me to describe this place? It’s like Baskin Robbins, respectfully (and I luv me some ice cream!)…difference is they have unique savory & sweet flavors. I’m sure you can sample all the flavors they have, the workers are all so nice and will probably let you if you ask.
When I come here, I make sure to get my supply of corn… Chicago Style, Jalapeño Cheese, Parmesan Garlic, and Double Double Butter (it’s caramel). Unfortunately they don’t have my all-​time favorite flavor, Dill Pickle :((, but that won’t ever stop me from driving all the way to Arcadia when I’m craving some Kernels!

I wish I purchased the bucket sooner. I’ve been here at least 3 – 4 times before I found out about the bucket. so stupid.
I also wish I found out about stamp cards sooner. I love Creamy Caramel, Jalapeño Jack, and Butter Salt.
The staff are all very helpful, but the girl has been the nicest. I need to catch her name next time.

I’m so addicted to their popcorn! It’s located right inside Santa Anita Mall, downstairs near Auntie Anne’s Pretzels & the escalators.
I ALWAYS get Jalapeño Jack every time I come here because it’s so yummy. I’ve also tried Buffalo Wings, which taste just about the same as Jalapeño Jack but more saltier. Say Cheese is also good as well, really cheesy & yummy. They have different sizes, I always get the large because it’s only $ 5.50, seems the most worth it to me. The workers here are really nice, they usually ask you if you have a stamp card & if they don’t, make sure to ask them for one! Buy 7 bags, get a free small bag of popcorn!
