Don’t expect A-​grade quality here. Lots of nice-​looking shoes to shop for here but they’re far from high-​quality. There will be seasons where their shoes could look mediocre or far below average and another season where most of their selections are absolutely gorgeous.
I’ve had to go through many Airwalk kicks and I wish they continued with the plaid pastel pink-​blue-​white design ’cause I loved them. That’s no fault of Payless though, haha.
I’ve also bought a few pairs of pumps here and they’re still going strong. I try to take care of them as best as I can. I don’t wear them out too often for fear of damage because, again, I know they’re not high-​quality.
Go here if you’re on a budget or need a quick-​fix for a night out of casual fun. If you can afford higher quality shoes, look elsewhere.

I love this payless store. The salesgirls that I have dealt with were extremely accommodating and helpful. One of the salesgirls, named Elizabeth, helped me look for a pair of pumps that were made by one of the designers. She went through all of the stock until she found the pumps in my size. She also recommended little accessories like heel pads and sole grips for my shoes. I was very happy with my purchases and will continue to go to this store for all of my shoe needs.

This place is not as welcoming as the temple city one. The workers don’t greet customers and when you ask them to help you find something, some workers don’t make that great an effort, so you end up having to ask three or four employees to help you. In addition, they weren’t willing to let me use a 20% off coupon that i had but forgot to bring. The Temple City one was willing to punch in a code for me. oh well. I got the BOGO deal so i’m happy.

They have a wide variety of shoes in 8 ½ Wide (i.e., ME, duh) and that’s not easy to find, so. .. FIVE STARS! Plus, the prices are really low so I usually end up buying a lot of shoes every time I go, and I am NOT a shoe freak like some girls are. TIP: If you have a AAA Card, show it and save 10%! I sometimes forget to do that, though (*cringe*).
