As a starving college student I WOULD NEVER go here again! AND regret going here. I went on a friends recommendation that they were cheap and fast. Dropped my car off that got a flat due to the arcata pot holes. I asked for a consultation before any major work was to be done — DID NOT GET THAT! They immediately without asking changed the tire out and charged me 90 $!
I WOULD NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!
They completely by passed consulting me for this huge expense, as a college kid where 90 dollars is about a month of groceries for me. Extremely disappointed and pissed.
PLUS they didn’t even fix it all the way they said the wheel itself was bent all they did was slap a tire on there —- almost a 100 dollar band aid these assholes put on my car! So i have to go to a different place to get my wheel fixed — all they did was put a shit tire on and charged me out the ass for something they likely got for 5 bucks!

Very nice and helpful. My son needed a single tire for his Corolla. $ 20 + $ 15 to install a used tire, would last about 4000 miles. Quite the deal. We instead went with 2 new tires, $ 160 out the door. Very honest, Highly recommend them.

So glad I found this place! Not only are they locally owned and operated, the customer service is amazing and the prices are reasonable! I’ve been here 3 times and I promise I won’t be going anywhere else for as long gas I live in Arcata!

They fixed a flat for me a couple months ago and i didn’t have $ 10 bucks on me at the time — the owner told me no worry and just give it to me the next time you see me…
yesterday i needed two back tires for my wifes vehicle, that were not road safe, i was quoted $ 300 from a competitor, whew and right at the holidays… there goes my families holiday i thought
i stopped by arcata used tire just to compare and was told $ 40 less on a better set of rubber, though it was still more than i had budget for — the owner went upstairs and found a really good set of used tires the right size for the vehicle to get us through the winter, most likely the year, and they had them on the car in less than an hour and i was out the door for a little over $ 100 bucks…
they saved our families holiday and helped keep us safe on the road this year and have always showed kindness and compassion in all my dealings with them and i highly reccommend to anyone needing new or used tires for their vehicles.

I went to Arcata Used Tire because Les Schwab tire in McKineleyville would not install 4 new tires on my student daughters Toyota Land cruiser after giving me a quote over the phone, before driving 800 miles, thus leaving me hanging.
The guys at Arcata tire put the new tires on the vehicle the same day at a very fair price (better than Les schwabs quoted price).
Thanks Arcata Tire, you guys are great.

just went here to get a flat tire patched. I also needed two tires moved front to back just because my jenky van has mismatched tire sizes.
came back in 20 minutes and everything was done. $ 20 and i was out of there.
