Anne Buchanan has served as President of the organization and continues to serve on the Executive Committee.

Business Owner

Anne founded Buchanan Public Relations in 1998, applying a diverse background in strategic communications that included leadership positions in agency, corporate, government and media environments. Her particular strengths are strategy, crisis communications and social media. Before launching the firm, Anne spent nine years running the Public Relations Department of a large Philadelphia advertising and PR agency. Prior to that, she held communications positions in the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and at Mellon Bank. She also reported for a chain of papers in the Pittsburgh area. She is active in a number of professional and non-​profit organizations. She sits on the Board of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, will be the incoming Vice President of the Philadelphia chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and serves as a Trustee of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. Anne is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A., Journalism).
