Sante Center for Healing

I think Sante is probably one of the lesser evils when it comes to treatment; however I do not know that I would recommend them. They treat you like a child, and do not appear to have any respect for the patients. I was being treated for alcohol addiction and bulimia. While they are probably legit when it comes to alcohol/​drug addiction, the eating disorder program is a joke. If you are seeking treatment for an eating disorder, do NOT go here! I witnessed them initiate «treatment complete» to one girl that had been there for 90 days (which is their standard recommendation; go figure, since most insurance companies won’t cover over a 30 day stay) for treatment of bulimia, and I personally witnessed her last three weeks in the program throwing up her food every night– and the counselors knew it!!! She even had multiple blood tests that proved she was purging– yet they still «graduated» her. Not good.

This place is horrible! As the previous review stated, they are high pressure and only concerned with taking your money. They act like the care about your problems until they get you to sign up then it’s all about the money. My spouse was brought in and separated from me when we got there. I told them my spouse was not in the right frame of mind to sign any papers and I wanted to to be able to review them first. I only later found out they had her sign everything committing her to a $ 2500 early exit fee if you left before 30 days. They said our insurance would cover treatment but after 5 days of her being there I received a call saying insurance denied treatment. My option was to keep her there and pay $ 18,000 for one month treatment or check her out after 5 days and pay $ 6000 with the included $ 2500 early ck out fee. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! There are plenty of other places that actually want to help people in need and don’t only care about the money.

Sante is the equivalent of a high pressure used car sales lot! Family member was there less than 12 hours and paid the $ 1,000 bill for the treatment they provided. Now, they are sending letters through an attorney who is threatening my family member with litigation for a $ 1,500 charge for discharging against medical advice (AMA). My family went to pick him up to take him to a different facility due to all the bad reviews online with Sante (they are all over the internet… don’t have to take my word for it).
All they care about is money… not the patient! Stay far away from this place! There are several better treatment centers close by that charge less than half of what Sante will charge you. If you care about yourself or a family member who is suffering from addiction, mental health issues, etc… DO NOT CHOOSE SANTE!
By the way, don’t even bother calling them to get information because they will call you back nonstop with their high pressure tactics to get you or your family member to come in right away. They act like you will only be there for 30 days but most people are not allowed for 80 – 90 days which will cost you $ 100,000 if not more! Sante does nothing but add stress to your already stressful situation. STAY AWAY!
