Dr. Placik received his medical degree from Northwestern University where he also completed residencies in general and plastic and reconstructive surgery. He completed a fellowship in the aesthetic reconstruction of complex nasal and facial deformities at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago and an additional fellowship in microvascular and hand surgery at Davies Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Placik is certified as a diplomate by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc.® and is an active member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is an active member of several local and national professional organizations.

I recently had a procedure done by Dr. Placik and they by far exceeded my expectations. From the consultation to my follow up visits it has been nothing but professionalism and great bedside manner. They were always there to answer any questions that I had, even if it was in the middle of the night or on the weekends. I wouldn’t go to anyone else and I would highly recommend Dr. Placik to anyone!

Hands down, probably the best doctor in the Chicagoland area. I cannot begin to tell how friendly and personable this doctor is. No rushed appointments here. He will sit and talk to you for as long as necessary. Not to mention his work his outstanding. I haven’t had any work done, but if I decide to in the future, he’s the only one I’d go to…

When I met with Dr. Placik, I knew he was the right doctor for me! I had my original tummy tuck done in 2010 after carrying triplets to 36 weeks and having major damage to my stomach area. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Both he and his staff are always warm, friendly, and welcoming. Dr. Placik is very dedicated, thorough and more of a perfectionist than I am. I have never felt rushed when in his office, and he and his staff have always taken the time to answer my questions and make me feel like I have a voice in my care. I have recommended him to friends without hesitation and would go back to him without a second thought if I needed/​wanted more procedures done. He is amazing and I highly recommend him!

When I decided to get breast augmentation, I was beyond scared, but Dr. Placik and his staff made the experience easy and thoroughly comfortable. It’s hard to imagine such a professional atmosphere being comfortable, but it truly is. Their bedside manners are impeccable and the scheduling couldn’t have been more simple. I’ve had a harder time arranging for cable than getting this surgery! They call you at home to make sure you’re alright after the surgery and check up on you as you go, plus there are plenty of follow-​up appointments scheduled at your convenience. This experience was so unexpectedly pleasant, that I am absolutely considering getting something else done… I just haven’t decided what! Go with Dr. Placik; you will NOT regret it.

I had breast augmentation with Dr. Placik last year. As a healthcare provider, I researched a lot of plastic surgeons before choosing Dr. Placik. He is a very knowledgeable surgeon who spends a lot of time with you and explains the procedure thoroughly. He answered all my questions and was very personable. He pointed out things that the other surgeons never even mentioned. My results far exceeded my expectations. His staff is extremely nice and makes you feel very comfortable. They are always available to answer any questions. I am currently visiting Dr. Placik for my Botox injections and would recommend him to my family and friends.
