Miriam W.
Business Owner
Miriam Williamson has operated personal care homes in the Lake Arlington area for over two decades. The family moved to Arlington in 1993 to open Advent House. With open hearts and home they’ve cared for many adopted grandparents over the years!
As a third-generation provider, she and her family have a long history in elder care. Her grandmother pioneered the work of caring for frail elders in a home environment as early as 1943! Miriam enjoys senior advocacy and loves to educate on how seniors needs are met easily through home-style living settings.
When she was nearly 5, her family moved to Argentina. She spent happy years at River Platte College where her father was a professor; she returned as a Junior in High School. She is mother of five (one of whom died of cancer as a preschooler. In her grief she penned Adam’s Song, chronicling their family’s journey through grief). Her husband, Wyley is a hospice nurse who offers comfort and care to his patients and their families.
