Bob and the rest of the crew at Arlington Auto Body provide honesty, really fair pricing, excellent work, and a wealth of car knowledge. I never thought I would say this in my life but I enjoy going an Auto Body. I know that these guys stand behind their work and word. My family and I have been going here for years. I am very picky with work done to my car. They always make sure I am happy before I leave. The paint is always blended right and points on the body all line up. Finally, I always get a good laugh with Howie!

I have have had multiple collectible cars repaired here over the last 10 years. I have been very happy with their friendliness, promptness and quality work. Their prices are extremely competitive. The only negative I can think of is their location — it’s always jammed with cars!

I needed the rear quarter-​panel and bumper replaced. I’d planned to bring my car to Arlington Auto Body (AAB) because their location is convenient for me, and also because my wife’s had some work done there and she’s been pleased with them. But I hesitated when I read some negative reviews on Unilocal.So I visited four other body shops in the area to see how much they’d differ on cost, on when they could start the work, and on how long the job would take. They were all in about the same range on cost and length of time to do the work, but a couple of the shops couldn’t start until about a week later than when AAB could.
I decided not to base my decision too much on the negative Unilocal reviews. I became suspicious of the trustworthiness of Unilocal’s reviews when I posted my first review and discovered a month later that it had been relegated to Unilocal’s «reviews that are not currently recommended» status. For reasons known only to Unilocal,my reviews seem to float back and forth between being shown on the main page for a business and being hidden on the «not currently recommended» page for that business.
So I decided on AAB based on convenience of their location, how soon they could start the work, and my wife’s positive experience with them, and I pretty much discounted the few negative reviews.
AAB’s original time estimate was 10 business days, but the work actually took 13. Other than that, the end result is just fine. On visual inspection, I can’t see that any repair was ever done. If they’d completed the work in the originally estimated 10 business days, I’d have rated them a 5.
BTW, I was curious what their experience with Unilocal was, so I asked them while I was picking up my car. They told me they hadn’t heard of Unilocal until sometime recently when a woman cancelled her appointment and told them her reason was the few negative Unilocal reviews. They then called Unilocal to find out what Unilocal was all about, and Unilocal offered to make their negative reviews go away if they purchased a membership for $ 3,600/year. They decided not to.
So much for Unilocal’s claim that «businesses can’t pay to alter or remove their reviews.»

I’ve used this shop for a number of jobs over the past several years, some of them minor, some of them major (like when I got rear-​ended). They’ve always done high quality work on time and on budget. In one particular case they did a great job dealing with the other guy’s insurance company.

I brought my car to Dudley Street, looking for Dudley Auto Body but ended up at Arlington Auto Body instead so asked them to give me an estimate on some car damage. When the friendly man found out I was trading my car in within a few months, he discouraged me from fixing the one major dent and buffed out the assorted scratches for free, making it difficult to even see the damage.
Great and honest service.

Love this auto Body shop! They always remember me when I come in for the first initial visit. There were scratches on my car (not from the accident), and they have buffed them out. Also when the car is done, they will even wash the outside of the car. I reccommend this body shop to anyone! The other great thing is, Enterprise is right there, too!

I stopped by today to see if there was anything Arlington Auto Body could do about some scratches on my new car. They fixed it immediately without charging me anything! I will definitely go back there when I need any auto body work done. What a great place with great service!

SHADY ISN’T THE WORD I WOULD USE TO DESCRIBE THESE PEOPLE, CROOKED IS. My car was in an auto accident. Arlington auto body is a preferred provider of my INS co. damage was to the front passenger tire and the rear passenger side panel. The rear tire seemed fine. The 1^st adjuster found about 2,000 in damage, he found no damage to rear tire. The guy at Arlington auto told me the cost was going to up once they took the car apart. Boy did it go up almost 7,000. They ended up replacing the rear tire and tail light. My car was not hit in the rear. When I questioned them, the guy at Arlington auto said that the second adjuster found the damage. I took pictures of my car after the accident and have looked at them several times l can’t see the damage to the tail lights or the rear tire. Next was the wait to get my car to be repaired. Each week they would tell me Friday then Tuesday then Friday. They had my car for a month. Got the car back and there was a squeak and the traction was not good. Arlington auto body said they would take a look at it. There response was that it needed brakes, and they do not do brakes. There was nothing they could find with the traction. They then said it only has 5000 miles take it to the dealer it should be under warranty. Now I have to deal with the insurance company to fix my car correctly as I used this company based on them.

I brought in my car to have the front bumper replaced. I got an estimate and made an appointment for the following Monday. They were very friendly.
The following Monday I brought it in and talked to the same guy — very creepy vibe this time and no recollection of what we had talked about on my last visit.
They said it would be done the next day (Tuesday). They they called back saying there was more damage and the price went up by 50%. They also said the car would now be ready Thursday. I was going out of town on Wednesday and told them I couldn’t pick it up until Monday. They complained to me about storing the car.
I go back on Monday (having walked about a mile and taken the bus) and the car isn’t near finished. Maybe I’m being punished for having them keep it. They tell me it will be ready by noon. I call at 1:00 — They say «Maybe 3:00»
I don’t have a complaint about the price going up, I get that. But they can give a much better estimation of when the car will be finished.

They told me there was no possible way to fix/​paint my bumper without removing it and that it would put me back in the $ 300 – 400 range (I’ll give them credit for telling me it was not worth it but not for having a jerky/​mocking tone when saying it). I went to Subaru and got the entire bumper fixed and painted for $ 150– and no, they did not have to take it off and were shocked that I was told this was necessary (it was just to fix a few bad scratches– no dents or anything).
