History

Established in 1967.

David Plant, bought a small sewing machine business at 308 W. Main St. in Arlington, Texas in 1967. Arlington Sewing Machine’s first location was a very small store that was housed within of a five-​store building complex.

Arlington Sewing Machine continued to do so well in its first few years, that whenever another tenant in the complex moved out, the sewing machine company took over the space. Today the company occupies all of the space in the aging building with the exception of a small cobbler company.

I purchased a used 4500 brother duetta that I paid off in 2013.
The machine was purchased from ASM –I’ve unfortunately had problems with the machine.
Now, I’m a big believer about what a business does to correct a problem.
Arlington sewing machine has gone above and beyond to help solve any problems that my machine seemed to be having.
Had it been past the 30 days that normal stores give you when you purchase a used machine? Absolutely… But they have done what it takes tomake me the customer happy. I am overwhemingly happy!
If you are in the market for a sewing machine (new or USED) I can’t speak highly enough about Arlington sewing machine !
Before 2012 I hadn’t been near a sewing machine since I was a little girl working with my grand mother in her sewing room.
I am so happy that they took the time to listen to me and understand that I had the great potential to dive Into the sewing/​embroidery world.
Now that I look back, I am so very happy that I bought the recommended unit instead of what I wanted to buy.
If you dive into the wold of embroidery, be sure to have a minimum hoop size of 5×7 this way, you won’t be stuck in the machine and limited with the designs you may be able to use.
I will soon be trading my current machine in on a brother Quattro 2 in which I will upgrade that to the Quattro 3! I’m so excited :)

I’d called and spoke to Brad about a sewing machine I’d had my eye on. Right away, I loved his friendly demeanor over the phone. I grabbed some fabric scraps from my stash and went to the shop.
Although, I had my eye on a particular machine, Brad determined my needs and showed me four machines from Babylock, Brother, and two Janome. He answered all of my questions plus educated me on the machines, their functions, ands how they’d best serve me. He patiently waited with me as I sewed samples on three of the machines in various stitches. I did not feel like I was being pitched a sale.
I walked out with a brand new Babylock Tempo and I thoroughly enjoyed the service after having visited another brand dealer whose service was lacking. I’m happy with my purchase and the service.
