History

Established in 2011.

I started Cityside Locksmith after apprenticing with a master locksmith for 6 months. Wanted to offer fair business, great prices, quality products and work to the Boston Area. Operating a locksmith business is a real challenge, as the industry is constantly evolving due to technological advances. A challenge that we hope to rise to, offering the latest and best solutions to lock problems. We appreciate both old and new technologies and love to advance our knowledge through industry training to stay as relevant as possible. We value customer relations and are not satisfied until our client is satisfied.

I love working as a locksmith and owning my own business. I have learned a lot and met many people. I get to do things that i love; working as a locksmith appeals to many of my interests. I enjoy solving puzzles and problems, helping others, meeting people, and learning. I’ve learned also how to design and build a website (frustrating but a good experience); and also how to market the company.

During my free time I like to work on restoring old bicycles, hiking, exploring, watching the Sox, and taking walks.

As a business owner I take seriously doing a great job and being fair; and operating my business as a good model for others.

Wow, Brian could not have been more helpful. I locked myself out on a Sunday, and he was here inside half an hour from when I called. Took me less time to get inside, with no damage and at a reasonable price, too. He also asked me for ID, which was a really smart move. Very nice and very professional.

Ever since the management of the building that I have moved to walked inside my unit with out being announced, I’ve wanted to change the front doors lock. I called several locksmiths from Unilocal,they all almost had the same answer that I could not rekey unless I changed the entire lock. Cityside was the last person whom I spoke with. He made some recommendations, but living among so many people in a condominium I was not sure if I wanted to go that rout! Instead I decided to change the entire door knobs to the two bedrooms.
I called Brian back who very promptly came at our agreed time. He was both very efficient and knowledgable in his job. The doors would not aline correctly, but he fixed that. In about one hour I had two bedroom doors with locks!
His fees were very reasonable. I had similar work done in Manhattan NY with costing me five times more then I paid Cityside locksmith. The added bonus here was that Brian is a very nice guy, very pleasant and not a creep like the guys from New York. I would definitely use this company and refer their services in the future.

Brian is great. Very professional, fast reliable service.
Dealer wanted $ 300+ towing for 1 key. Brian came to me and worked his magic… :) he was able to program my 2011 F150 when the dealership said no one could do it but them… In my book Brian deserves 10 stars.

Brian runs a very honest and reliable business. I’ve only had to use a locksmith once, and he was the one that I called. He arrived promptly, gave fair pricing right over the phone, and tried to save us money wherever he could. It sucks to get locked out, but at least I felt a bit better knowing it helped out this great local business. I’d highly recommend Cityside Locksmith. I’ll be calling them again if I ever get locked out.

Super great! I’ve only had one key for my car since I bought it in 2012, and I finally got around to looking into getting a spare made. I called/​visited various hardware stores with no luck; I called Brian and he set up an appointment without a problem. Then, when I had to cancel that appointment last minute because I was stuck at work, he rescheduled it without any problem at all. He re-​cut and programmed a new key for my car in about 10 minutes at my house (super convenient!) and he even gave me the «test key» he made for free, so I ended up with the spare I wanted and an extra key to unlock the doors (doesn’t start the car, but it’ll get me in)! I had bought the blank transponder key online and he cut it, and he told me that if it stopped working (he can’t guarantee a key that isn’t his, understandably), I could just call him and he’d come cut and program another key for a very, very reasonable rate. Remarkably awesome service and prices far below what dealers and hardware stores wanted, plus with the convenience of it being done at my home around my unpredictable schedule!

It is crazy that I even had to call a locksmith.
Yesterday I got locked out of my home. I freaked out, because I’m usually so good with my keys.
Anyways, I called Cityside Locksmith. They were here in about 15, maybe 20 minutes. When Brian arrived, he made me feel less like an idiot. He explained that getting locked out happens more often than you’d think. He pulled out some tools. It looked like a wire/​needle thing and he picked my lock. It was open within a minute. I was really happy my lock wasn’t damaged and I would not have to replace it. I felt really relieved. I didn’t know what to expect.
Overall this company was here very fast and was extremely professional. The price was more than fair. I asked a couple of my friends if they’ve ever been locked out. One friend claimed Brian only charged me a fraction of what they paid to other companies. I would definetly recommend this locksmith company to anyone in this uncomfortable situation.
