History
Established in 1954.
The firm started in Washington, D.C., in 1954 as a general partnership under the name Murphy & Burwell, continued for many years under the names Cross, Murphy & Smith, Cross, Murphy, Bills & Smuck, and currently, as Cross, Murphy, Smuck & Houston. On June 22, 2015 the firm relocated from Washington, D.C. to its current address in Arlington, Virginia.
