Exceptional Environments, Inc is a full service building design and interior design company serving Tarrant County and surrounding areas since 1977. Owners Bill Buehler AIBD and Phyllis Thomas Crim ASID/​RID provide thoughtful design to enhance their clients lives. Professional Design (dba) is the Building Design division, offering stock plans, custom home design, remodel design, space planning, and small commercial design. Exceptional Interiors (dba) is the Interior Design division providing space planning, window dressings, consultation, color analysis, and accessories. Area builders know this company to create easy to follow, thoughtful design; and many long time clients return to EEI whenever they have a design need.

Bill Buehler grew up in Ft Worth and achieved a Business degree from UTA. Phyllis Thomas Crim grew up in Arlington, and graduated with an Interior Design degree from the UTA School of Architecture. Both are married and live close to their office at 6020 W. Pioneer.

Business Owner

Phyllis Thomas Crim grew up in Arlington, graduating from UTA School of Architecture with an Interior Design degree. She always knew she wanted to design homes and buildings, & happened to meet Bill Buehler through friends. Bill also graduated from UTA, with a Business degree, & began a career in building material sales. Bill and Phyllis shared a passion for thoughtful design & good business standards, so they decided to start a design business offering home design & interior design. Phyllis passed the NCIDQ the first try to achieve professional membership in the American Society of Interior Designers, & became licensed when Texas passed the law. She has served on a local and state level in ASID, encouraging students & other colleagues. She was also involved in Big Bothers Big Sisters, Cowtown Mariners, and her neighborhood HOA.

Bill grew up in Ft Worth, graduated UTA, was accredited by the American Institute of Building Designers, & serve on several committees with his wife
