I am guessing the person that thought my original review was funny was probably the prejudice Vet tech. I hope they have gotten rid of her since then. A vets office should be able to handle any dog large or small, fearful or not, regardless of breed. The kicker was my dog was great with people & dogs she just after 7 yrs at the same vet, encountered a tech that decided to treat us horribly because of her prejudice towards certain breeds. Shame on her really! We were the first in that morning with an appt & she even made us wait while she served 2 people that came in after us first. I hope no other client ever has to feel like she made me feel. Too bad Because the older vet was great with all my animals.

Dr Johnson has seen my old man golden retriever on several occasions. She really is a kind and caring doc. She knows her stuff and seeks answers when our furry friends feel poorly. I believe she wants the best for all her patients and treats them as she would her own, and doesn’t give up on them. I really think Gunner likes to go there. I have found that all the staff have been kind and caring every time.

I had brought my awsome dog CHOPPER… & got his 1^st shots this place is just a great place to bring your loving pets, they had answered all my questions about my dogs diet. overall great experience. This going to be my pups main clinic. great staff very helpful & friendly… thanks from jennifer & chopper

This place is great — they have a friendly caring staff, always call to follow up on the pets and (in my experience) they prices are good. The walk-​in time can be either convenient or annoying, however you want to look at it, but if you approach it knowing you’re going to wait it’s really nice not to have to make an appointment! If you don’t like the walk in, you can book appointments in the morning — problem solved depending on your work schedule. We take all our pets here and have always had excellent care.

Although they are kind, professional, and caring enough, they are way too expensive. My mom took her little doxy in for estimate on extracting one tooth. Even though she just had the same dog in, in January and got all shots done, they created a long list of items that needed to be done that came to almost $ 650. One tooth.
A veterinarian in Stanwood will do the same exact work for $ 200.
My mom doesn’t make much money and is on fixed income. She’s tired of the high costs associated with this bill-​happy vet and is having her ppwk transferred.
I had a similar experience with my doxy after taking to this vet. Ended up taking our dog to another vet and got the same work done for ½ the price.

Even though I came on what was an unusual day where they were crazy busy I felt like the doctor was very caring. She had to give me some very bad news about my cat, but didn’t pressure me into a bunch of expensive and unnecessary extra tests. Which was very appreciated. I was the last customer of the night and the whole staff was understanding despite the hectic day.

Loved the staff! Clean spacious friendly and practical. The clinic is walk-​in any time after 1:30 and we went in on Monday afternoon. Of course they were slammed with lots of critters waiting to be seen. At first I was thinking «Oh dear this is gonna take forever» but I couldn’t have been more wrong. They have ample staff, who (despite being very busy) were very helpful, funny and pleasant to be around. It took us less than a half hour to get in and out with our puppy’s medication in tow.
The pricing was AMAZING. We all appreciate saving money– but I really appreciate when health care for our furry family members is made affordable. More people are prone to take good care of their pets if they don’t have a sense of impending doom over the damage it’s going to do to their bank account.
Follow up– Our dog had a minor lil eye irritation (allergies or slight infection) nothing that was a big deal, he was dewormed, and vaccinated. I would not expect a follow up call for any of that since it was all pretty standard run of the mill stuff, but to my surprise I got a call this morning from them to make sure Simon was feeling ok after his shots. Again, busy office taking the time to take good care of their 4 legged clients. I love it.
I couldn’t have been more impressed and happy with our experience. It made it a very easy decision where to go with all Simon’s future vet needs. Family Pet Medical & Surgery will be his PCP (primary care provider) for sure.
