The review about the front staff is very true. The hispanic lady in the front is nasty and rude to the clients. I had an appointment to get my cavaties filled, the first time there was a snow storm and they closed the office. I had come straight from work so did not have time to go home and listen to my machine as soon as i stepped in the office she started yelling at me, she said they left messages on my machine, i apologized and informed her that i had come straight from work and was not able to listen to the message. She was rude and started yelling again, finally i politely just rescheduled and left. The second snow storm occured on the day of my rescheduled appointment and my kids school was closed so i called them to inform them that i had three kids at home and i was told to bring them in! My kids are 4,2 and 5 months old. The hispanic lady on the other line was nasty and rude. She refused to reschede me and made me come in with my three kids. I called back second time asking if i can speak to the dentist himself, i was told that he will call me back and i got a phone call back saying they will only do one side of the mouth and try to get me out of there early. Not a single person has yet to offere to reschedule my appointment becuase it against their financial policy to cancel appointments after the 48 hour window, eventhough there is crappy weather outside. Dr Fidel needs to take a close look at Unilocal, this is the second bad review for the same front desk lady. Dentists are a dime a dozen, my suggestion is to find a better one than this practice. The front staff is not worth the hassle

My bf, who grew up in the the DC area, cautioned me to stay away from doctors on Columbia Pike. Having faith in the area, I did a Unilocal review and found Dr. Fidel’s Dentistry. I marked my appointment for noon in my calendar. I thought a noon appointment was rather odd, but did not think much about it. I repeat it to the Spanish speaking lady, and she confirms it. I get a rude call the day of my appointment telling me I’m late for my appointment and I calmly tell her I was scheduled for noon, not eleven. Why is this lady yelling at me, when I didn’t make the error? She asks me if I can make it in ten minutes — I say I’ll try. The dentistry is located in a shoddy, run down area of Columbia Pike. I felt unsafe and my gut told me to get back in my car and leave. Once I step into the office, the secretary irritatedly tells me she can’t sign me in and maliciously smiles. What? I politely tell her I do not want to reschedule, and walk out. I didn’t get the pleasure of meeting Dr. Fidel, but the unpleasant hispanic woman in the front was enough for me to know I do not want to bring my family there. Zero stars for customer service.
