This almost completely fenced-in playground is shaded and fairly empty in the morning. It has a cool woodland theme so all of the play structures look like logs/trees and there are even some fake owl and squirrel faces carved into them. There is a great play section for 2 – 5 year olds with 2 slides, a baby swing and regular swing, a little climb-through tunnel, and a sandbox with a push-button water faucet that’s great for rinsing off sandy feet and hands or for adding to dry sand to make sand castles. Then there is another play section on a raised area of the playground with a larger slide and climbing apparatus meant for 6 – 12 year olds. The best thing about the playground, though, is that the ground is astro turf, which is very comfy and not messy! There are also two shaded picnic tables and several benches to sit on. The playground is handicapped-accessible, has street parking as well as a parking lot next to it, and has bike parking inside its fence as well. There are no dogs allowed. The playground is cleaned by the county at least weekly, from my observations.
