Global Knowledge Training Center

I had a pleasant experience when I took a PMP boot camp here. I spent time researching other boot camps but decided to go with Global Knowledge due to the rave reviews from someone that I knew that took it, plus their online reviews seemed promising.
The location is attached to Ballston Mall. You can park in the garage and walk into the building from the garage, or go directly through the mall. The training facility is on the 10^th floor. The front desk coordinators are super nice and friendly.
There’s unlimited water, coffee, tea, juice, and sodas to drink. If you’re taking an all day boot camp, they drop off snacks around 3−4pm (chips and trail mix). There’s also a kitchen (complete with toasters and microwaves) and a lounge to eat your lunch in.
Global Knowledge is pricey, but they offer a guaranteed pass rate for your certifications (I can attest since I passed my PMP certification). You should sign up for the «verified» classes to avoid any last minute cancellations.

Garbage company. Stay away. Two years in a row I signed up for a course only to have them cancel it one week prior to starting forcing me to miss my training opportunity for the year. Go with Learning Tree instead.

Amazing facility. Great, friendly staff and a beautiful breakfast spread! I have taken 3 week long courses at this location and plan on going back. The instructors that I’ve had were terrific and knowledgeable on their subjects! If you need trainning this is the place to go!

Beware of unexpected and unexplained class changes!
I had registered, and received confirmation for a $ 3000+ Networking class. A few days before the class was set to begin, I received the following email:

There has been a change in location to your upcoming Global Knowledge event. Please review changes below. To confirm you have received this change simply reply to this e-​mail. If you have questions regarding this change please contact Global Knowledge customer service at 1−800−268−7737.
OLD LOCATION: GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE TRAINING CENTER
NEW LOCATION: MICROTEK DC (

A hotel change is suggested.»
This last minute change left me scrambling to find new accommodations and transportation. After contacting customer service, I was not provided with any explaination of why the course location was changed, only that the new location was in DC. I later learned that the course was moved at the last minute because Global Knowledge had overbooked its training center. Two thumbs down.

Great training facility right in the heart of DC. Metro accessible so I hopped right out of Ballston off the Orange line and two blocks later I’m there. The building is attached to the mall so look for the Chevy’s Tex Mex Restaurant and you’ll see a lobby with just elevators. Kind of weird, but it works out.
Free Flavia coffee, Free breakfast (fruit, bagels, oatmeal, sometimes a specialty food like quesadillias), Free snacks at 2PM (THE COOKIES ARE SOOOOOOO FRESH), and two fridges STOCKED with sodas and water. The classrooms are very clean and promote a good learning environment. They have about 6 public workstations for those who need to check their email or something during the day. They also have free wi-​fi.
Well I shouldn’t say free since you’re probably paying $ 2500-​$ 5000 for the class, but they sure know how to serve you.
