Had a late lunch here on Dec. 6th with a friend. The sushi was not good. Several items had a poor consistency, and there were some that smelled and tasted like canned tuna. The seaweed wraps were very tough and difficult to chew. Very disappointing. The primary dishes in the buffet line were very good. Plentiful meat and fresh vegetables. All the dishes were kept full and steaming hot, even though it was late afternoon, and still before the dinner hour. Their bar-b-que chicken and port were very good. I love the egg drop soup, and my friend enjoyed the sweet and sour. Service was quick and unobtrusive, keeping our drinks filled and the dishes cleared away without interference. Overall, the restaurant was clean, with appropriate temperature and lighting.

I have been here many times. Most time, the food is great. Can’t ask more with that price.

Ate here for the very first time. The salmon tastes rotten and the sushi tastes spoiled. Not sure how you mess up pigs in the blanket, but that was disgusting as well. We will never eat here again.

Got to say I been to many buffet in my life. This is one of the worst one I been to in a long time. Old and run down. Very sad. Service was very bad. But our waitress is quick to bring us our check.

happened to be around this area and decided to give UT a try. Choices are abundant and taste good and quite authentic Chinese. Price is very cheap compared to the quality. The only complaint is the place can be kept a bit tidier and more organized.

Cold food, slow service and not sure if I’m going to regret going here in about an hour… The food is all cold, and I’m not sure if it’s hot enough to Kill anything that may be lurking within the food… Got one plate and gave up and asked for my check without eating the entire plate… Best recommendation: avoid. Update: no case of food poisoning but still it was incredibly disappointing, cold and downright gross. The WORST Chinese food in the DFW metroplex.

The consensus was Chinese, and this was the closest place. Walked in and before we were seated they were taking drink orders… weird. Plates and bowls were dirty; I had to sift through to find clean ones. The food didn’t look too appetizing, but I started with soup and salad which was okay. The hard boiled eggs were cut in half and both pieces I picked up and bit in to had shell on them. Turn off. The options were small and typical… cucumber, tomato, black olives, jalapeño and three dressings. When I went for my entrée plate, I was looking and nothing was jumping out at me. The spring roll was cold, the house, orange and sesame chicken all tasted funny. The best part of my entrée was the steamed rice and noodles. I also didn’t like the fact this dirty, disgusting huge vent was above us. I was here about a year ago for lunch and don’t remember it being this bad. Save yourself and go some place else.

Not really impressed. The food wasn’t bad, in that it had a relatively descent flavor, but the place was messy and felt unkept. The floors were dirty, the carpets were stained, and the table was sticky. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I should have listened to all the warnings here from my fellow Unilocalers. Unfortunately I still ate here. The«house chicken» was pretty good, but there is only so much of it you can eat before its not. NOTHING else there is good at all! How hard is it to screw up sweet and sour chicken? Well the chicken tastes like burnt oil for one thing. The sesame chicken is something unforgettable, perhaps its because the only resemblance to the name is that it was chicken with sesame seeds on it. The orange chicken should have been called chicken with water sauce without orange. I think in native dialog its called yuckie chicken or oh hell no chicken. The ragoons are just cream cheese and way too much of it. The staff is rude. Very rude. Is there a word worse than rude? All and all I give them one star because I will probably lose some weight over this meal.

Very bland mediocre food. Have eaten numerous times at the buffet. Ordered to go recently, Order was not quite right. Prices are average. Would have ordered from my usual place, but it was closed that day.

Wow. This place is a joke. Nothings fresh and just about everything is cold. Went in at 6pm and everything i put on my plate was cold and when i asked for something warm or fresh, i was told that they can put it in a microwave… REALLY… I asked for a refund cause i hadn’t eaten anything off my plate and was told to pay in full anyway, they couldnt help me or make any sense so i paid them and will not return ever again. This place is average at best. The food is average american style Asian food. The variety for a buffet is lack luster. I has to search thru. Few plates until I found a clean one. Even the kiddos I was with noticed the dirty plates. I will say the staff is super nice and attentive, but I will not be returning. On, y reason two stars and not one is due to the service being good.

Look, this isn’t the best Chinese food out there, but it sure isn’t the worst either. For the selection of food and thing they have, the pricing is pretty good. I usually go at lunchtime and get a to go box from the buffet. I can get swol up on MSG for about $ 4, and that includes some sushi. You pay by the lb, so up to you what you spend. Food is descent tasting, so if your looking for a good cheap lunch, try a to go box and pick what you want. Guy at front counter is real nice. But he also wont take any shit from anyone. I give him and the place a thumbs up.

This is your average chinese buffet restaurant with decent service, Mongolian wok, normal buffet dishes and some odd sized sushi. I came into this location not really expecting to much from what I read in the reviews and the last time I was here about seven years ago. There was about 10 varieties of sushi that tasted good, but were of a smaller size then what I was used to. It looked off by at least a quarter of the size of a normal sushi roll. I did see a Ham roll which was different, overall the sushi tasted good. The rest of the«hot» buffet area consisted of dishes I could see at any chinese buffet. Lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, potatoes, beef/chicken broccoli, average egg drop soup and the list goes on. What stood out to me was the crab ragoons which were pretty tasty and the«cold» bar part of the buffet. There was some interesting octopus seafood dishes and a good seafood salad. Also there was some sort of cooked muscles with a little kick to them, they tasted pretty good. Dessert was average, what I liked was the eclairs and the soft coconut cookie. What I did not care for was the rice pudding, it wasn’t really sweet at all and was bland. Service was pretty good, the waitress was attentive and refilled my drink and took my plates away most of the time. Each time she took away a plate or gave me a refill I said thank you and she responded back with a healthy your welcome. If your looking to get your belly filled up with some average chinese buffet food with some pretty good service then Grand Chinese Buffet Restaurant is the place for you. If the food was a little bit better I could see giving it a four stars but it just didn’t hit me in the four start spot.

I was having a great day until I walked in here and ended up leaving sad and depressed. I grabbed vegetables from the Mongolian buffet as I usually do at Asian buffets. SALMONELLAWARNING: They are using wood serving bowls for the buffet. People will grab raw poultry and other meats and place them on this wood bowl. The chef will take the bowl and cook your food. The wood bowls can absorb liquids, odors, flavors and F*CKINGSALMONELLA!!! I wanted to grab some white rice but it had already hardened because it had been taken out of the cooker and placed on that serving tray for«God knows how long» so I grabbed flied lice(«fried rice») instead. This place is SOSAD and SODEPRESSING. The balding old asian manager, the buffet that is hidden in the back, the cramped up tables, the poor lighting, the absence of music, the colors and presentation of the food. Its all too much. I should have run away when I had the chance. –5NEVERGOINGBACK!

Standard low-cost Chinese buffet really. All sorts of variety of food. I was in for sushi that night and just wanted something close and cheap. This place delivered. Tons of variety of sushi. Great soups, salads, mongolian grille, jumbo shrimp, decent dessert items. Overall presentation was meh, but honestly what do you expect with a place like this? So check it out and dig in! :D

Interesting Chinese place… you like it Spicy? This joint know how to turn up a Notch! Not all of the dishes but if it says its spicy then it truly is — not a lot of American Chinese places actually do that. All of the food was Really Flavorful! The kitchen staff does an excellent jobs of maintaining the buffet with fresh hot food constantly coming out of the kitchen. Prices are cheap & the Quality of Food is GREAT! I’d really wanna come back and try the Mongolian Grill… heard really good things about it.
