You’ve been in DC for the holidays and are headed home and find yourself in Terminal A of Ronald Reagan International then you should eat at Jerry’s Subs. Now, this may just be the Christmas hangover I was sporting the day I was flying home and a need for greasy food talking. Jerry’s definitely fulfilled the need for greasy hangover fare.

Ok, so I was at the airport, a little hungover, and I was craving some junk food. That’s when I saw Jerry’s Subs and Pizza. I had not eaten from this place since I was kid. I remembered it not being the highest quality so I went over and ordered a large meatball sandwich. It was as low quality as I remember. There is nothing special about the sandwich. The upside is the sandwich was giant, and I got it with chips and a drink for about $ 12. That’s cheap as far as airports go. If you want something fancy, look elsewhere. If you want a belly full of junk food, this is your place!

Greasy, nasty, nasty pizza. Made the mistake of getting an overpriced cheese slice from here. The congealed cheese and oil stuck with me for days. They do offer subs if you’re in to that along with a standard fountain drink. That’s the only area I’ve found them to excel in so far.

This place hilariously bills itself as NYC style pizza. Who are you trying to kid Jerry? It’s pizza hut style. DCA has a pretty terrible food selection and this place is no exception. No veggie options aside from a plain cheese slice. I was also amazed to find out this isn’t just and airport chain. However, this is probably the cheapest veg option in the airport and it’s still pizza. Given the food selection this is the go to spot if you have the pleasure of flying out of terminal A.
