My husband likes it but they are a little overpriced and yesterday, their shrimp cocktail gave me food poisoning so I wouldn’t trust them for quality seafood.

Today was the 1st time here. ABRAMS st. Is being repaired and I just about missed it but I am glad I found it. They play soft Mexican music in the background which was very nice. I ordered the chicken fajitas $ 11.95 for ½ lb of fajitas, fried beans, rice, 4 soft tortillas and 3 kinds of hot sauce: warm green, warm spicy and regular hot sauce. There was also a fried jalapeño. The service was quick and food was hot. I really enjoyed everything and plan to be back soon. I definably recommend Las Ranitas. Dale

I love this place when i’m craving fajitas. they have the best fajitas out off all restaurants! the chips and salsa are good too, also their bistek ranchero is delicious, that used to be my favorite plate from here, ive been coming here for about 10 years now. the prices have gone up, I think the last time i was here which was last week the bistek plate had gone up to like $ 15 too high for me. other than that i would recommend this place.

Do not expect fast service. You cannot be in a hurry. yes It is in a strip mall. However, the food is really top notch quality food. Their salsa is a little on the stronger end of spicy. Two people in our party of 8 didn’t eat it due to spicy factor but for me it was just right. I have been here twice now and both times the food was great. The first time I shared appetizers and the pastorcitos and quesadillas were excellent. The green sauce that comes with the pastorcitos is potent but good. The second time I went with a house specialty. The Chicken Sado. That stuff was really, really good. It may be hard for me to try something new because I liked that Chicken Sado so much. Will I go again? Yes. most certainly yes.

This Mexican restaurant is good authentic Mexican food. They have all the usual Tex Mex foods. I had the fajitas and the were very good. Good chip and salsa. I feel Las Ranitas is good food for the money. Not bad and you will not go away hungry. Located in a small strip mall. Not very busy so we did not not have a wait. And we had a large group on Saturday. The place is very casual nice and clean. Styled more like a diner. The service was very good and fast not a long wait. Great place to relax and have a good meal and talk.

This is a nice solid lunch option if you find yourself in this part of the DFW. Their chips and salsa are always fresh but be carful with the salsa because it is a little spicy. I usually have their tacos, or fajita plate. The fish soup is also very good, and the price is right. The inside is nice and clean and decorated with some tacky frog pictures and statues. I have never had a problem with service here.

This place can be great… really great, or horrible depending on what your idea of good mexican food is. I have eaten here off and on for 4 – 5 years now and seen this place go through some changes. It is usually somewhat less than sparkling clean, the salsa is bland, the chips are stale and the service at times is so slow it ain’t even funny. That being said the entrees(when you finally get it) are usually pretty good. At times the food is piping hot and tastes like it was cooked today. Other times it tastes like it has been a warm up from yesterday. The rice and beans here have been served cold or lukewarm(room temp) at best on every visit we have made here. The little fried tacos(Pastorcitos) are usually excellent, the soups are also very good in my experience. This isn’t exactly a Tex Mex place, and you can get some food that won’t make you sick at late hours. Other than the above, it’s dreadfully average, and in my opinion dingy and a little grimy. The upside is, the prices are incredibly cheap and if you speak enough Spanglish to actually get your order understood, you stand a great chance of getting some mediocre food… eventually. If they would clean the place up, put 10% more effort into the service, this place could be great.

The Restaurant was nice and clean, but the food was mediocre. Salsa had a fishy taste, the chips were ok. I ordered the Chavas plate which was a crunchy beef taco and a cheese enchilada, rice and beans. It wasn’t the best food Ive had, but it was wasn’t the worst either. The Service was horrible! we had a lady take our order, then she sits right next to us in a booth and takes her lunch break. No one ever came to check on us until we were almost finished eating. We needed drink refills, and they never came by yet our server was sitting right next to us. The staff kept going to her table and refilling her drinks and would all sit in her booth and talk to her while she ate. We were the only caucasians in the restaurant, every time a new customer came in that was hispanic they were immediatly taken care of and we were ignored. We waited 15 minutes to get our check and no one ever came back, I finally had to go to the register and pay without a check. I only tipped $ 1, because the service was horrible. Will not be returning.

If u get hungry skip this dump and buy a bag of Doritos. Not only is this restaurant in a ghetto strip mall, but the food lacks flavor, ergo bag of Doritos. I ordered a taco salad and this restaurant does not have a clue. I got the taco salad to go. It was served as a deconstructed taco salad. The taco shell was a poor excuse for a fried flour tortilla. I like corn taco shells. They give a flavorless medicine cup size of bland salsa and another medicine cup of oily Italian dressing?

The food here is always amazing. They always give great service and I have not ordered anything I didn’t like. The food is priced pretty good. Not super cheap but not a wallet breaker. This is a great change up from all the texmex restaurants in the DFW area. This reminds me of a mom and pop Mexican joint with very good food! Hope you have the chance to stop by and give it a try. Don’t be fooled by the run down center it is in. The inside is very nice. Check the Happy Hour times, good prices on Margaritas. Usually Mon– Fri 2pm — 7pm(not really sure, they just changed it)
