Great service, very friendly, pizza was hot and fresh. Thank goodness there is now another choice in So. Arlington.

The Northern Virginia area has been dominated by the big three: Dominos, Pizza Hut, and Papa John’s, so I was excited to hear that Little Caesar’s will be joining the takeout pizza game. I was even more excited to hear that they sell a large pepperoni or cheese pizza for just $ 5. But let’s get real, folks. This is takeout pizza. And for $ 5, you definitely get what you pay for. The pizza is hot and salty, but depthness and richness of flavor is rather nonexistent. The pepperoni, cheese, and sauce are all pretty generic. The crust is crisp, but the bread is undeniably dense. There isn’t much seasoning on it save for needed texture provided by a cornmeal dusting. I also got an order of the«Crazy Bread,» which is basically pieces of soft bread that have been dragged through an oil slick and topped off with garlicky bits. The curious thing about the bread is the inconsistency in size of each stick, which made dipping my hand into the oily bag containing them a surprise every time. As for the other aspects of this shop, the interior of the store(though brand spankin’ new) is pretty much a glorified rest stop since most of the pizzas are ready-to-go. You won’t see a lot of people ordering custom pizzas here(unlike the other big three shops); you pretty much have a menu of pepperoni and cheese on a variety of crusts. The staff were all polite. In all, the food definitely warrants two stars at best, but the value gives Little Caesar’s that extra star.
