Ordered on a Monday night. Food took 1 hr and 20 min to show up, was almost cold, and tasted far from special. I do not mind waiting for good food, but don’t make me wait for sub standard Chinese food. I would not recommend.

The food here is really good. It tastes a lot fresher and less greasy than most Chinese restaurants. Stick to the traditional Chinese menu, their Thai and Japanese selections are just ok. Very friendly staff.

Gross greasy food. They also delivered half of my order incorrectly and when contacted about it they said there’s nothing they can do. Nice.

It’s your basic American-style Chinese food. Decent flavor, fast service. The lunch portions come with rice and an egg roll, and they’re a pretty good portion. It’s nothing special, but it hits the spot when I’m craving standard Chinese takeout.

I would stick to their Chinese dishes. I just got their pineapple fried rice and it was kind of basic/nothing amazing. But other then that it’s tasty and good quality takeout.

We ordered in from this place since it’s just around the corner. Overall this place is way too overpriced for the quality of the food. The Chinese dishes were at least semi on point but the Thai dish we got was pretty terrible. I mean how do you mess up drunken noodles? It’s so standard. But I guess I should have known based on a place that serves Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. I liked the texture of the general tso veggie chicken but it was so soggy and the sauce was pretty watery. For the prices they charge I expect better quality food. Spring rolls were on point though.

This food was just plain not good. I ordered delivery and when it arrived it was clear the boxes were not transported properly as all the food was mixed together as if the boxes were stored on their sides.(Note: I don’t blame the restaurant for this, I ordered through delivery service). I ordered Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, Kung Pao Chicken, and Combo Lo Mein. I specifically asked for each dish to be made«extra extra spicy,» when I opened the containers each dish appeared to have zero added spice. Biting into each dish confirmed no spice had been added. The Shrimp in Garlic sauce appeared to just be shrimp with roughly 800 cloves of garlic chopped up on dumped on top. Seemed pretty different from any other restaurant I’ve ordered from. The Kung Pao looked weird as well. There were no vegetables in it(which was fine with me, the more meat the better) but strange appearance aside I had to give it all a shot. The first few bites made me think«Eh, it’s not great but it’ll do.» Unfortunately the more I ate the less I enjoyed it. Out of the three dishes the lo mein was probably the best. The meats were pretty dry but overall it wasn’t terrible. My quest for finding a go-to chinese place continues!

Lucky Pot has always been quick, fresh, and delicious. I live right down the block so I usually order for pick-up. Food is ready in about 10 – 15 minutes and freshly prepared. They even take extra care to make sure the food quality doesn’t suffer during delivery/the trip home(e.g., sauce for General Tso’s packaged in a separate container to avoid soggy chicken).

My roommate and I ordered delivery last night. Would be a four star rating if not for a few factors. I’m a pretty clear speaker and I had to repeat my address 5 times when ordering on the phone. Luckily our order was short and easy: crab ragoons, mu shu pork, and kung pao chicken(that’s probably all spelled wrong). They took over an hour to deliver and after the struggle of taking down my address, I was pretty worried. It did arrive after an hour and fifteen minutes and was hot. There were no vegetables in the kung pao which was a little strange. Other than that the food was exactly what you’d want/expect from American Chinese food delivery.

My experience has always been around the take out/pick up/to go. Always quick, fresh, and delicious. Out of all the times we have ordered from them, we only had an issue once with a missing soup. After making the call, we had someone at our door with the soup and an apology note in 10 mins.

This place is expensive, if you want enjoy a decent meal. Although the items are priced less, it can quickly add up when you end up ordering an appetizer as well as an entrée. The food was average, and the décor is so-so(very confused with all the European tourist pictures in an Asian restaurant). If you decide to dine in, the food is served on plastic plates — just so you know!

I picked up a GrubHub discount for 5 $ off an order for Lucky Pot and figure why the heck not order. I expected your usual decent delivery Chinese food but got something I truly believe to be a few steps above. Is it the best Chinese food I’ve ever had? No. Is it the best delivery Chinese food I’ve ever had? I’d say probably. Pro-tip: Get the crab rangoons. They are really good.

Ordered the Wonton soup and Pad Thai for takeout and was pleasantly surprised given the poor reviews. The soup was hot and not salty at all(some wonton soups can be way too salty) and the Pad Thai was delicious. Not as good as TNR just a couple blocks away, but it’s not bad and is much better priced. I will definitely return!

** 2 ½ stars ** This is salty Chinese and Thai carry-out food for when you just *need* to get your cheap asian food. It’s no 4 – 5 star glory, but it will get the job done. Plus, it’s a clean and new establishment and they work hard to get your order right. Get the American-Chinese food(I know, I know). And don’t venture far off to fancy land. Just order the run-of-the-mill menu options. Kung pao chicken and General Tso’s will be good options, if not guilty pleasures on night’s when you don’t want to cook and are looking for quick delivery.

I work near Lucky Pot and have stayed away due to reviews on here and what my coworkers had to say but always remained curious as one person still ate Lucky Pot once or twice a week. As this is a hole-in-the-wall American Chinese restaurant I gave it three stars for the following Pros & Cons. Note that I’m judging food quality/value based on what should be expected from this type of venue(this isn’t Capital Grille people don’t expect the same quality of food and service because that’s not what you’re paying for) (I ordered the Hunan Chicken lunch platter which includes an entrée, fried rice and egg roll) Pros: — I was very happy with the entrée portion regarding flavor, quality of food and portion size — Egg roll was good, nothing special but not a disappointment Cons: — The fried rice was bland and appeared to only be soy sauce with specs of scrambled egg in it. There did not seem to be any additional ingredients. It also seemed dry like Lucky Pot makes a big batch of fried rice and scoops as needed for meals Result: I plan to return but order a typical box entrée/white rice. I will not order the fried rice again and if they manage to screw up white rice they will not have a customer in me.

Curious about the new Asian restaurant on the block. Supposedly a Chinese & Thai place. Not sure where«Thai» fits in the menu because it’s remarkably similar to just about every other Chinese takeout in the area. The menu is nearly identical they might as well be franchises. I ordered the Singapore noodles in which the portion was generous but the flavor bland. The fish filet in black bean sauce might as well have been fried cod nuggets. The food is okay but the reality is that you’re far better off dining at TNR, which is 1 – 2 blocks west of Lucky Pot. 2 Stars — Restaurant of last resort especially when TNR is around the corner.

Excellent Chinese takeout! Great typical Chinese American dishes(chicken and broccoli, general tso’s, etc). Portions and huge so you’ll have plenty to share or leftovers. They have online ordering and delivery or carry out have been quick and easy.

despite the previous comments, still wanted to try this place out! The staff were friendlier than the reviews so was pleasantly surprised. price for the area is about average and maybe a bit high. ordered two entrees and both came out within 15 minutes(pretty quick). Ordered two thai dishes: drunken noodles and spicy triple thai. My drunken noodles were pretty good but didn’t taste like typical drunken noodles(not spicy and actually quite sweet). The spicy triple thai was a good dish with just protein and veggies. Overall this place is pretty good if you want quick take out.

This is a great example of an awful business that supports itself by giving itself good fake reviews. Total scam. Avoid unless they are the only business still around after a Mad Max style apocalypse.

My first and my last time for this restaurant. The service wasn’t really good, they talked about some customers so not polite behind their back. The worst thing is I saw the manager was digging booger and taking on his phone at the same time, that was sooooooo disgusting. The food wasn’t good. The fried rice is obviously from yesterday and tasted salty. The Veggie Spring Roll was over fried and the color turned dark brown, the Edamame was not fresh(not green at all). I asked the server to change it, and she told us the manager says that’s the way it is. I ordered two other dishes and they almost taste the same —brown sauce. Brown sauce! OMG! This restaurant’s food is really ruined my day and makes me feel so bad for my friends. I would never walk in this place any more. NEVER!!! EVER!!!
