Great location near the stadium, but over-charged me for chips, didn’t offer to bring water while I waited, and food was disappointing. Understaffed and waited much longer than the 10 minutes they said it would take. Have been to much better small, Mexican /Latin American restaurants.

I just have to write a review on this place ! I came to this location the day of wrestlemania ! we stopped by before the show was going to start since it was across the street & I had been craving pupusas for the longest ! coming from California I wanted to see if there was a difference in how the pupusas tasted & there was a difference not a bad difference though ! those pupusas were so tasty & definitely hit the spot before a long day we had if I ever go back to Texas I’ll have to go back for some pupusas !

Ran into this place after we had some biz to take care of in that area and were starving like marvin. Anyhow, it is a Latin restaurant that serves Mexican, Salvadoran and Nicaraguan plates so we decided to give it a try since we were also craving some legit food. We ordered some Tacos and some Pupusas(think of a stuffed pita) and were very pleased. The rice and beans were on point! The salsas were good and were glad we decided to dice the roll on this place. you gotta try it!

Stumbled upon this little gem for breakfast while staying next door at the Days Inn across from the AT&T Stadium. Had a wonderful inexpensive breakfast that included the best corn tortilla I have ever had in my life. This reminded me of my travels in Nicaragua. We walked in at 9 o’clock in the morning and there was a group of Hispanics eating tripe soup and drinking margaritas. It doesn’t get any more authentic than that. My father and I were the only Anglos in the place in an hour there must have been 30 or 40 Hispanics that came and went for breakfast and lunch. You can always tell an authentic Hispanic restaurant by the amount of actual Hispanics that are eating there. This place was definitely authentic and top notch.

The tacos were great, service was so so, the restaurant was dirty, after we sat down someone came over to sweep under the table. No one was in the restaurant so the place shouldn’t have been dirty at all. The chips were stale and not very good.

Ok food but when it came to the check they added a dollar for each plate. When we asked why it was different from the menu the waitress said that they have there own price. Coffee was supposed to be free since we were there before 11 but since the waitress didn’t give us the check till after 11 we had to pay.

I loved the ambience of this place and the fun atmosphere. Definitely not a place I would’ve noticed if it weren’t for Unilocal because it’s sort of hidden behind a Valero. I went on a cold evening and seeing the blazing neon blue lights from the parking lot definitely was welcoming! The El Salvadorean/Honduran pride was ubiquitous and equally charming! I was welcomed by a very sweet lady who greeted my roommate and I in Spanish! Thankfully the both of us speak it so it really wasn’t a problem for us :) Now for the food. The pupusas were every bit as amazing as how others have described them!!! I got the one that was«queso con loroco». Definitely something I’ll be coming back for regularly!!! The horchata was great too and definitely different from the Spanish or Mexican variety in the sense that it was less milk and more cinnamon and sugar. Unfortunately, my barbacoa torta was not what I had hoped for. The size was great but it lacked meat and flavor. I don’t know whether that’s how this specific variety is made but it just was not something I particularly enjoyed. My roommate ordered chicken flautas and described them as «average». She also mentioned that she wished that it came with a slice of avocado or two and spicier salsa. As I said before the ambience is fun and the pupusas are off the chain :) I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

I am only giving it a 2 star rating because the waitress what super sweet. She just couldn’t understand us. :/ I got a cheese enchilada plate, and it was good. Your basic enchiladas. Now my boyfriend on the other hand got something. and we couldn’t quite figure out what it was. It smelt terrible and tasted worst than the actual smell! I was so sad for him… but we couldn’t do anything about it. I ended up just finishing my enchilada(bc why waste good food) and leaving. and don’t get the queso. I think it’s out of a can? Idk… At least spices it up a bit! Maybe the food was suppose to taste that way, and we just weren’t used to it. Still sad about that experience!

First time dining here and the waitress who greeted me could tell. So she went over the menu and gave recommendations. There was so much I wanted to try. The pictures of the dishes really helped. I ordered the steak torta, which is very reasonably priced for the size. Very delicious, with fresh bread and toppings. Again, so much on the menu I want to try, I will definitely be back.

The pupusas are the best in town. If you have never tried a pupusa, I recommend it, they are doughy cheesy goodness top if off with the pickled cabbage and it is the bomb!!!
