Prices are okay, people are friendly, work’s okay… that’s the problem. At $ 100/​hour okay isn’t good enough. Took three hours to diagnose and correct existing speakers and install two new ones, okayfine, these guys are pros and highly reviewed. Get in the truck the next night… no interior lights, no head lights, no dash lights. Nothing.
We missed that appointment. I called and left a message, irritated as you might expect, thinking I would get a call back as soon as the opened. Well, at noon the next day, I give another call, «oh sure, bring it in, we’ll have a look». So I drive from Dallas back to Arlington. Guess what, install tech FORGOT to reconnect the switch panel! What if my wife had taken it and got stranded?!
My compensation? «Sorry dude». Maybe you all should brush up on you service recover techniques, because 30 seconds of getting it all wrong, negates 3 hours of getting it all right. I could have been speading the word about how great you are like so many others, instead I’m stuck feeling cheated and telling this story…
UPDATE — — –After having had another issue the owner got involved, not only did he have his chief installer go through the entire system but they refunded some money after they found an discrepancy that I would never had known about, thanks Nick. One more small issue I noticed today to deal with and it’s all good,

Mobile Sound Systems put a stereo & alarm in my truck more than a few years ago, so when I started having issues w/​my alarm I called them to schedule a time to get it looked at… they not only scheduled me in, but sent me reminder emails so I wouldn’t forget my appointment… I was impressed ! I arrived on time & they got me in right away… I waited about an hour & they came back w/​my truck… they explained everything they did which was going through the entire system, checking all the connections & fuses etc. then testing the alarm brain for any malfunctions or issues, gave it a complete top to bottom look & apparently rebooted the system by testing everything… made sure there were no other issues. Best of all they didn’t charge me a dime, when they could have told me anything & charged me… I would have gladly paid for the work… now they have a customer for life. Thank you Nick & Mobile Sound Systems for being honest !!!

Had a stereo installed and everything is going well so far. I gave 3 stars because their prices are a lot higher than the competition. The owner stated his prices are higher because his technicians are highly skilled and he has to pay them more. I would try Car Toys or Audio Depot because their prices are more reasonable and do the same quality of work from my experience

Just drove away from my Audio install, and just can not believe the quality of sound that I am getting from the system in my 05 Dodge Power Wagon. They installed Kenwood KDC-​X998, a JL 700W Amp, and Focal 165 Speakers. Mobile Sound Systems is the only company to go to for any Auto instillation. Nick, Chad, and James plus the rest of the team are very professional and the customer service is fantastic! These guys are extremely knowledgable and gave me best recommendations for my system. As I am building this system in a few steps, they laid in some extra wiring while was in the shop to facilitate the next step. As the rating stars say, WooHoo As good as it gets!!!

Ok, called earlier in the week to schedule a follow-​up installation on a couple of speakers. The owner said they could do it Saturday. So I call on Friday to confirm and another guy said they are all booked until the following Thursday?
So much for repeat business. I guess I wont be.

I’ve known the owners for over twenty years due to their no less than perfection installations and customer service, that’s about nine cars with high high end sounds systems, alarms and remote starts! Best and rarest thing in customer service is, that their NOT car salesmen, they educate. No high pressure or overselling, and they SO stand behind their installs and gear. Worth your time and your money. Perfection!

Simply the best!!! Mobile Sounds is definitely the company to go to for any car instillation /​upgrade needs. Nick, Chad and the team are very professional and have great customer service! The guys are extremely knowledgable and give the best recommendations for my upgrade. They don’t try to overprice or pressure you when it comes to making decisions on the products. My service appointment was completed on time and everything looks so good, I got the audio adapter for my iPhone5 installed in the car and I will definitely going to them in the future! Next on my list is have my speakers replace and upgrade for my nav system, which I plan to have Mobile Sound work on. They have found a loyal customer in me, thanks guys!

Admittedly, this is a long overdue review… but, in my defense, I’d never heard of Unilocal when my work was done back in 2008. Nick & his team transformed the interior of my 1973 Impala, for a reasonable price. Kenwood CarPortal plus 7″ screen, two 6 and ½s in a custom fiberglass box up front, two 6x9s in back, Bluetooth, new carpet… I supplied most of the parts, but Nick told me that they would’ve price matched whoever I bought from regardless. Great work, fair price, done in a reasonable amount of time. Next time I look for an audio upgrade, they’ll be the first shop I call.
