Established in 2010.

P&E Babysitting was founded and is owned by Portia Moore. Portia Moore has over 15 years of babysitting experience. P&E Babysitting was founded in 2010 with 3 babysitters to refer to clients. Now we currently have 23 babysitters with years of babysitting experience, great referrals, transportation, CPR and First Aid certification, with energetic and fun personalities to refer to your family!

P&E Babysitting handles all of the leg work for finding, hiring, and paying a babysitter. P&E Babysitting will relieve you of the stresses of finding a babysitter! Register with us and we will refer you to a highly qualified and pre-​screened babysitter your family will LOVE!

Business Owner

I am an Arlingtonian through and through. I attended Long Branch Elementary School, Jefferson Middle School, and Washington-​Lee High School. Having received my Bachelors of Science and a Master’s in Education, I am a proud Hokie, member of Virginia Tech’s class of 2008; and alumnus of Marymount University.

I realized my passion for children and their care at the early age of 13 years old when I began my babysitting career. My academic background is in science and education. I have learned over my years that when coupled together: childcare and education, creates a healthy environment needed for child development.

I own and operate P&E babysitting full-​time. However, I also work right along with my babysitters providing quality care for many P&E families. Additionally, I provide childcare during the monthly Mothers of North Arlington (MONA) meetings.

When hiring sitters, I value and seek out those that possess the following qualities: patience, energy, intelligence, and nurturing.
