Short story — there was a minor, forgivable mistake and there was a huge, potentially life ending mistake. The minor mistake is that the doctor asked for only ½ of the blood draws that she wanted, and so I had to go back and pay more to get blood drawn a second time. $ 10 more to get it right, whatever. Not a big deal and forgivable. The major mistake was when I went in with a cold and the nurse practitioner prescribed some meds. I told her multiple times I was allergic to a specific medication. She took note, said she’d consult with a doctor. I go to pick up my Rx and come to find out what they did prescribe me has a high chance of making me unable to breathe based on my history. If I didn’t ask at every step, I would have taken the meds and probably died alone in my bed tonight. If anyone has a good general practitioner out there, let me know :)

This Internal Medicine clinic has the sweetest most compassionate doctor– Dr. Theresa Stretch. She is soft spoken, attentive and always takes her patients into consideration above all else. The staff is very sweet and helpful. The clinic is a little difficult to find– its on an «Island» of land between Pleasant Ridge and Best Buy. If you don’t look for it you would never even notice it. She recently added a Nurse Practitioner since her patient volume was becoming too much– and they are scheduled to start
