Gary is honest and he is fair with his prices. He can usually do a repair fairly quick.

I’ve known the owner for 40 years and have gone to him at the three locations he’s been at over those years. He’s a one man shop, so time literally is money to him. He doesn’t work on everything(it’s not physically possible to do everything), but will recommend another service that he thinks can better address your problems. He’s honest and fair in his pricing. Isn’t that what you want in an automotive service? Be wary of the reviewer than left a one star rating here and says the owner was rude. Go check her reviews. She’s left ten with various businesses. All were one star and said the owner was rude. What are the chances?

Came in needing to get a vehicle recently shipped from overseas checked out and roadworthy. Mr. Qualls gave me a straight answer to some lingering issues and left it up to me as to how much work to do. Prices were very fair and he made the effort to get the work done in the most expedient time possible. Sometimes people mistake directness for surliness, and would gladly pay more to be fleeced as long as they were spoken to nicely. Me? I’d rather have reliable service done quickly at a fair rate. If I lived in the Arlington area, Qualls would get my service on a repeat basis, not least because it sports that hometown garage feel. The only knock on this place is that it’s not very accessible; it’s sort of tucked away in an industrial area of town behind many of its counterparts. That’s a slight disadvantage that’s well compensated for.

Great place! I had my radiator crack and needed it fixed asap. Mr. Quall got in done in 3 hours(for an extra fee of course) and was extremely helpful. Recommend!

Went in thinking my clutch was burnt and expecting to spend 1000 – 1500. He looked around for about 10 adjusted some bracket that holfd the clutch pedal. After that the clutch worked better than ever. he charged nothing for this repair. This a really competent and honest mechanic. You’re crazy if you go anywhere else

A good mechanic is hard to find, an honest one is even harder– this guy is top stuff. Here are two reasons why I love this guy: Inspection Incident: I have a 94 camry with a check engine light on. I brought it to Quall’s and told him I need to get it fixed. He saw my tags were expired and he asked«are you getting it done for inspection?» I said yes and he informed me that for this old a vehicle a check engine light doesn’t automatically fail an inspection so it may not be necessary and suggested I go ahead and get it inspected. Money saved ~$ 300?. I go to an inspection place, the car fails inspection, they tell me they can tune it up for $ 200 and hopefully get it to pass, I say ‘no,’ drive home and call Qualls to see if i can bring the car by to have him do it. He tells me to buy some RXP, a small bottle of additive that might cost me $ 12 at AutoZone, and that might do the trick. Did it and passed. Money saved ~$ 200. I always fear mechanics are trying to take advantage of me and tell me I need something done, when it really doesn’t– like the inspection place. Qualls is an honest man– which is what I look for in a mechanic. He’s already saved me $ 500+ so any car work I need I call him first.
