Enjoyed the visit. Great place to bring children. Trails surround the location for walking and bike riding. The indoor exhibits are pretty nice.

Loved volunteering here! They have a quick check in process, and the ladies there are quite friendly! It’s very nature-esque, and the staff have a lot of knowledge about the environment! Great place to take kids!

Great little nature preserve/center with exhibits! Bring family, friends and the kiddos. I attended a special event being held here. We walked around a bit inside and viewed all of the displays and got a little culture. It’s lovely at night, all lit up and outside of the center you can take a nature walk… especially as the sun Is setting or when it’s a bit lighter out. We even got to roast marshmallows on the fire pit! The hickory smoke smell of the wood made me so happy. Overall I had a wonderful night out at the science center!

The main buildings architecture is beautiful and has a minimal impact on the environment. When you walk in you are greeted by somebody at the front desk that is happy to assist and answer any questions you may have. They have a few small exhibits inside of native species(red eared sliders, copperhead, and other small animals). They have a little play area then a room that overlooks a little pond. Once you look at everything inside you walk out the back and can go down the steps to the pond, there are fish and turtles in here that come right up to you. After that you can walk around trails at river legacy park. My 6 year old son loved this and the best part is it’s free! it’s not incredibly large so I would not plan a whole day here, but a few hours is nice.

This place is great for all types. My son and I can ride bikes around the trails and then end up at the science center and check out some of the exhibits. Although I would rather not see the animals in such small enclosures, they are all Texas native animals(mostly reptiles) and the enclosures are always well kept, just too small in my opinion. They have compost bins set up with all stages of composting, a small observatory and reading area, and they also have a school for 3 – 5 year olds. Definitely worth checking out, and free to top it off.

I went here to sign up for some volunteer work with my sister and was able to check this place out. The architecture is totally gorgeous and I really like the nature programs they have year round. They teach kids about various animals and how things work like metamorphosis and photosynthesis. I really like how you can just wander around looking at their tanks of fish and reptiles for free! The center is also connected to the park so if you’re visiting the park, swing by this place. It’s really nice.
