Salon 221

My hairdresser of over 15 years suddenly retired. I turned to the FB Arlington list and asked for recommendations for local hairdressers experienced with curls. Salon 221 kept coming up with kudos. Jennifer owns the businesses is vested I. It. She listens, asks questions and the results are great. I frequently get comments from friends about how great my hair looks. Check Jen out!

Jennifer is in amazing hairdresser and she is unbelievable when it comes to haircuts for men she has been cutting my hair for a while now I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Jennifer is a good hair stylist and a nice person. She was able to accomodate my last minute appointment for hair color, and was nice enough to wait for me when I was late. I will definitely go back.

Jennifer is great w/​foil and cuts but more important really sweet and forgiving (i was late for my first appointment.) I found her through groupon but will go back groupon-​less.

Jennifer is excellent in what she does. I have great experience with coloring and hair cuts. I highly recommend to try her out, you won’t regret it. Is really affordable and great location.

Jennifer is hands down the best hair stylist I have ever been to, and I would trust her to do absolutely anything with my hair. I have extremely thick wavy hair and have had many bad haircuts in the past, but her reputation was so good that I decided to go to Jennifer for a dramatic haircut from several inches below my shoulders to a very short hairstyle. I was extremely happy with that first cut and I have gotten my hair cut by her twice since then with always amazing results. Even though my hair is short, her cuts are so fantastic that I can go 3 – 4 months between haircuts with my hair still looking great as it grows out. Most recently I decided to get highlights, and she did a fantastic job on those as well. I usually don’t like the way other salons blow dry my hair but I feel like I have super model hair after her blow outs. She is lovely to talk to, a wonderful person, and best of all beyond amazing at hair styling!

I found Jennifer through Groupon, but I will definitely be going back to her as my new stylist! I have curly hair and as a breed, we tend to be very skeptical of stylists’ ability to handle curls. She was great. She’s super sweet and attentive, and gave me an awesome haircut and color (and evened it out nicely with the color I had from a previous salon.)

One of the best salon experiences I have had. I was nervous to try out a new place, especially to get my color done, but Jennifer listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure we were on the same page before she started. Great haircut and amazing color job. I requested very subtle natural looking highlights and she did an incredible job, they look perfect! Good prices, good atmosphere and amazing color and cut. Definitely a salon to try out!

I got my hair done (full highlights, cut, blow-​dry) by Jennifer today! She’s very experienced and extremely professional. I got the exact result I wanted. She has an outstanding personality– very kind and sweet. Unlike at other salons I’ve been too, she took her time at each step and really ensured quality of her work. Moreover, she is very innovative and creative– she was able to accommodate for me by providing more privacy while I get my hair done.
I had an overall pleasant and satisfying experience. I know I will be going no where else now that I found the perfect place to get my hair done. :))

Jennifer is amazing! I took a chance on her new Salon, Salon 221, and it really paid off. The color and cut she gave me were incredible and I will definitely be going back! She thinks of all the details and really wants to pamper and support her clients. Easy parking, nice space. Two thumbs up!

Hands down the best salon I have ever been to! Jennifer was amazing, I wanted a re-​vamped new hairstyle and color and she worked magic on my hair. She really took her time to listen to what I wanted and then gave me her opinions and feedback before starting anything. She really knows what she is doing and I felt right at home in her salon. After going to multiple salons on Newbury street and even more in the DC area, I have finally found a salon that I plan on coming back to. Jennifer is absolutely amazing and I would recommend her to all my friends and family. If you are looking for an amazing cut and great style with someone who takes their time to get your look perfect for you, Salon 221 is the best place to go. I look forward to coming back again for my next style!

I was in search of a new stylist– I don’t typically get my hair done, but when I do, I search for one that is reputable and knows what they’re doing. Unfortunately, stylists that I choose are always moving around.
I had a wonderful experience with Jennifer at Salon 221. She is reputable, knows her colors, and she knows how to cut hair. She’s very personable, and when you talk to her, you feel like you’ve known her for years. It’s not some small talk– it’s real world issues and you get good discussions. Her prices are very reasonable. For someone who knows what they’re doing– you’re getting so much more than what you pay for. I would strongly suggest seeing Jennifer at Salon 221. And I will be back again, as long as she doesn’t move!

I was in search of a new hair stylist and tried Jennifer at Salon 221 because I live close by and wanted to check out the new place. I was extremely pleased with everything! jennifer listened and clarified exactly what I wanted. She seemed to really pay attention to what my hair naturally does in order to make the cut work well. She did exactly what I wanted. The salon itself was very nicely decorated and pleasant. I’m so happy I found a new hair dresser.
