I’m revising my review. It’s not just a lame sports bar. It’s actually one of my favorite sports bars for bar activities: pool, darts, ski ball, basketball, and shuffleboard. Better than Carpool. Better than Continental. Cool bartenders. It’s a very large bar, which gets pretty packed late night, but they have a bunch of drink and food specials, it’s hard to go wrong. The carnitas tacos and pulled pork sammy is your best bet, as well as those rosemary-garlic fries. Food is not too bad for a lively sports bar with so much going on. Back to being an old time favorite, SK.

Worst bouncers ever. I have been going to spider kellys for years and its one of the places I can go at any age. Last Saturday, my friend who walked out and immediately wanted to go back in to use the bathroom and the same bouncer who sow him out wouldn’t let him back in. My friend was able to sneak in but the bouncer just followed him and even watched him take a leak! How creepy is that. We have been there for hours buying drinks, shots and eating but we couldn’t even try the decency for one man to use the bathroom. The bouncer than escorted him out after he did his business and a fight almost broke out. No one needs to go to jail for something as ridiculous as going to the bathroom. I don’t understand, did they think they can use excessive force just because they think every single person is drunk by the time they walk out? Make sure your bouncers make a good judgement call and stop creeping at men peeing.

A friend who works in VA told me about this bar, so I decided to check it out to catch up with someone. I arrived at about 5:30 on a Wednesday and was pleasantly surprised to see that the bar was completely empty. The bartender was very nice and I was happy to see that the drinks were strong and the prices were reasonable. From what I could see, they have $ 1 pool & skeeball, and FREE darts! We played those for a good hour. It’s a great spot to have drinks and play games. Definitely prefer it to the usually super-crowded Penn Social. I will be returning.

Good food. Chili nachos were great. Baja tacos were really good. Needs a little bit of help on the staff. First, couldn’t find the host then our server disappeared for over 30 minutes without getting our refills. Overall good food just needs a small staff adjustment.

Enjoyed my visit the other night. A few friends wanted a night on the town and we decided to play some shuffleboard. Aside from our Über driver getting pulled over for cutting through a gas station, it was a fun evening. Drinks are affordable and it’s the only local place that I know of where you can play shuffleboard. I’ll be back.

Half priced burgers are a good deal here on Tuesdays, and the grilled veggies are a healthier and tasty side option. While the music can get a little loud at times, the service behind the bar is quite good. One negative is that they can’t seem to get their wifi working properly. It was not working when I visited about 2 months ago.

Definately my go to watering hole and pregame spot in Clarendon. Happy hour deals are great, $ 5-$ 7 for food /drinks. You have your choice of pool, shuffle board and other arcade games at any time of the day/night. The dining and main bar areas are seperate, which makes for good spacing when it does get a little busy. There’s also a smaller bar in the dining area. Night life gets packed, but still comfortable enough to move around and get drinks The dj’s/ music choice make you wish they had a dance floor Night life has great line management and short wait times to get in. For chilling or getting the party started, S.K. is where you want to be.

This was place was NIIIIIICE! It’s got the pool tables, it’s got the darts, it’s got the arcade games, and most importantly of all, it’s got the FUNK! Only just stopped by here to see a friend and this place was hoppin’ on a Friday night. Will definitely go back again to check out what they actually have in drinks and food, but all the other fun stuff makes it worth a trip if you iz near.

You have to try the buffalo chicken wrap from spider Kelly’s. I don’t know what it is about it. Maybe it’s the dressing, maybe it’s the sauce, maybe it’s the fact that they grill it after they wrap it. I don’t know but it’s delicious. Their onion rings are also very good. My husband liked their burger and trivia night, and my co-workers liked their happy hour. I travel to the area for work and I have to them up at least once every trip. I’ve never had an issue with the service. The waitresses have been attentive and helpful and the food is good. They also have a «patio»(really just a roped off sidewalk) which is a nice addition. These factors combined with reasonable prices make Spider Kelly’s a great place to kick back and people watch on a nice summer evening. The inside was a little dark & dingy for my taste. Especially when compared to liberty next door so that will prevent a 5-star rating.

3.5 stars «Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.» — Sir Walter Scott I thought I would never get an opportunity to add that quote to a review! Happy Hour: NOUN A period of the day when drinks are sold at reduced prices in a bar or restaurant.
Even the name should change from Happy Hour to Happy Hours! «Therefore, my lords, omit no Happy Hour that may give furtherance to our expedition…» — King Henry V Happy Hours it is !!! I don’t really need a specific time to be «Happy» at bar. Just keep my glass full… Maybe some food…
Some cool people… Oh! The reduced prices do come in handy! I lived in this area about ten year ago and never really looked back. Way too much stuff going on, and later hours within DC and parts of Maryland. This area started a resurgence a few years ago and I have been admonished for not crossing the river to Virginia. The purpose for the trip across the pond was for a «BW» inspired Happy Hour. Not«BW» me BW but Don C, Bobby K and Chris L.(Ask them what«BW» stands for!) I was a little early so I swung by a few places to get my Virginia feet wet. When I arrived around 5:45pm the first thing that I noticed was the lack of Happy Hour crowd. Talking to a few people, I found out that the crowd starts to file in on the latter part of the specials promotion. Indeed it did! The previously chatty bartenders were not weeded but totally nose to the grindstone busy! The rest of the group arrived and we tried a few of the snacks. We tried all of the HH food specials .All for $ 5. Nothing out of the ordinary, fried mozzarella with marinara sauce and fried mac & cheese were just like you would find anywhere else. Loaded tater tots were a bit above average for bar fare. What stood out to me, in a positive way, were the lardons of bacon! Not super crispy but sliced a bit on the thick side and a nice bite to it. A little over the top with the cheddar cheese that was melted on top. Nice texture on the tots that survived the cheese bath but when I return, I will ask for lite sauce. My least favorite were the fried pickles. Pretty standard chicken quesadilla but instead of grilled chicken the three day brined chicken with cumin and garlic was used. I believe an avocado cream was on the side and pico de gallo but you really don’t need it. Well maybe not. Nice space for a group HH!

I have passed by this place multiple times and I am so glad I got to try it this past weekend. The Happy Hour deals are pretty sweet: $ 5 for: Chx quesadilla Tater tots Chx/chili nachos Fried mozarella & Burger sliders(2) When are these cheap eats?! All night Monday, open-8pm Tues-Fri, open to 5pm Sat & Sun. Also, on weekends shuffleboard is free until 4pm. While I didn’t come at a super busy time, I can see this place filling up as the place to go in Clarendon. Good thing it’s got a ton of space!

Got the sliders! Very good. The pulled pork slider was actually awesome. My expectations were that it’d be dry or non-flavorful, but I was wrong. It was quite tasty! The classic slider was good and so was the carne asada slider, but the pulled pork was the clear winner.

I came here this weekend after dinner in the area, and I thought the bar was just ok. The music was on and off, sometimes great and upbeat, but sometimes they played slow songs that didn’t seem to fit the mood of the bar. I love all the games, especially shuffleboard, but the area around the tables is not large enough for people to play and the crowds to get by, so it can get crowded. The bar itself is large, but they could use a few more bartenders to keep up with the crowds. Not a horrible experience and I would come back, but there are definitely better bars in the area.

Dear management, Your servers and bartenders hate your customers. I’m not sure if this is a reflection of how you guys feel about us but it’s just confusing. If your employees want to know why they don’t get tips, it’s because they ignore customers for as long as possible and then are so snarky when we do interact. Why? It starts to seem like a management issue when it’s the entire staff and not just one or two bad eggs. Finally, we were able to get served because we left and went to Mister Days. Dear Unilocalers, The bar is spacious, has a lot of seating, and lots of games. Their deals are not bad. Unfortunately it is hard to enjoy them because no one wants to serve you. Fortunately for us, there are other places in Clarendon that do have service.

The service was so good. Not my best brunch but I still ate the whole plate. And the bloody mary bar where you make your own concoctions was my first experience and I really enjoyed it. It was pretty empty for a Sunday brunch but that might be different weekend to weekend or it could be that the place is so huge its always going to look empty.

I really enjoyed the environment and the happy hour price! Our waitress was tentative and caring. The food was good and came out great! We ordered the chili nachos appetizer happy hour for $ 5 and it was totally worth it!!! I couldn’t even touch my burger because those nachos were big portioned. So I recommend that either choose the nachos or entrée.

This place is like a nice basement. It has that dark and smelly basement vibe, but it also has a lot of cool elements. There are at least two different bars, so you don’t have to stand around and wait for a bartender to catch your eye all night. The bar is actually pretty big, which is good because it can get super crowded on the weekends. I like that they have so many pool tables, though I have yet to play because they’re always taken. The drinks are pretty reasonably priced, and they don’t blast the music and blow out your ear drums like some other bars. Food is your typical bar food – not bad but nothing special. Overall this place is an average bar in the Clarendon area.

Ugh. This place is way too well lit for a bar. Also, people are rude as hell. Don’t shove people out of the way because you are drunk and huge. Someone also threw up all over a booth seat, and yeah. it was disgusting. Horrible place.
