Texas U Can Paint Arlington

First off let me say that this was a fun date idea that I have been wanting to do with my girlfriend for some time now. I chose this location because it was so close to «the daiquiri shoppe» where you can get drinks to go and bring them here YUM!
I actually had even more fun than I had thought I would! The location is easy to find, and we arrived with our Groupon a little early so that we could start drinking and talking to each other a bit.
The whole building is surrounded by paintings done by the staff, and the teacher told us how to get set up with our aprons and paints while we waited for the other guests. In all there was about 6 – 8 people there that night (Tuesday) but the crowd was very fun and polite:)
The teacher shows you step by step how to draw the example and checks around the room to make sure nobody needs any extra assistance. Our teacher Marisa was very nice and fun to paint with, and she also did two random raffle drawings which my girlfriend and I both won! We got to take our favorite piece of art off the wall to take home, pretty cool!
In all it was a very fun, something new kind of date. I will definitely return here and possibly with more friends or another date with my lady.

Fun fun time … It was so amazing to see different ways that people view the same object! Creativity is awesome and everyone has this gift!

We had a wonderful time! We had a group of 7, 2 of them being young teenage kids. The instructor, Laura, was very friendly and a lot of fun to work with. This was my first time to go to a painting class of any kind and I will definitely be coming back to this one again!

Meh, I’ve had better. I showed up to class with my gal pal running behind, the gal pal who purchased our groupon. Her name is Clarissa, she said she confirmed with someone named Klarissa. One would imagine Klarissa wouldn’t have had issue remembering Clarissa’s name, but sadly, we were not on the list. Thankfully, the class wasn’t full, so the finally (finally) let me put our names down. Then, I informed them Clarissa was bringing the groupon info (because she gave it to Klarissa, who clearly didn’t write it down), so I would have that info when she got there. Nope, sorry bout your bad luck. Can’t start until Clarissa gets here with the groupon info. Forget the fact that the bottle of wine I brought costs more than the groupon, so I’m clearly not going to paint and run, but they didn’t give me my canvas until Clarissa got there. 25 minutes later, class has started, and I’m not painting.
The instructor was something else as well. She got very, visibly and audibly annoyed when the students would ask questions of her. We took a random 20 minute break, and please note this was not a painting where you do the base layer then paint over it, and when the instructor came back, she was painting briskly as though she was afraid she was going to miss that night’s episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey or something. It was a pleasant experience because my friends are fabulous, and we did leave with paintings that we enjoyed, but most of that is not due to the Texas U Can Paint staff. Being scolded for asking questions in a wine and canvas studio is bonkers.
Really with the drama? Not worth it. Go somewhere else.

The staff are extremely helpful and provide a great learning environment for all levels of painters. The Groupon they offer is a great deal for the product received. The instructors are very knowledgeable and make the painting process easy to follow. I have painted at other various businesses and Texas U Can Paint is one of the best, I will definitely be returning with my family and friends!

I love this place! A few friends and I had a Girls Date at the Arlington location because we found a Groupon deal. The owners are very friendly they told us that they love their Groupon customers, but that in the future we should watch their Facebook page for deals also. When we arrived we were immediately greeted and checked in. Then we were given our canvases and supplies and picked our spots right in front. I’m not sure if it was because we went on a weeknight or if the location is just new but the class was fairly small about 15 people total. This made the class very fun and the instructor was able to give everyone personal attention and reassuring us that it would all come together at the end. Everyone in the class was really fun and having a good time and most them brought wine and snacks. I cannot wait to do this again!
