My new favorite Thai restaurant. Stopped in there last night. Country style noodles were delicious.

Thai moon is very good service. And to be at the restraint. But I highly recommend not order take out. They usually forget 1 or 2 things in your order. But if you actually go there it’s a 4 star but with delivery… 2 star.

Very good food, quick delivery. I really like their rangoons, and the basil duck.

Terrible terrible service. Beware of the waitress here. She was constantly hovering over our table giving no privacy all throughout our meal and back talks to you when asking to pack the remaining food as to why can’t we just finish the food. That plus the food was not what we asked for and she messed up the spice level for our group. If that’s not all, at the end she bad mouthed our group and threatened us not to come back since we only gave 15% for literally the worst service ever! I wish they can understand they lost the lifetime value of all the customers in our group, and do something to change the waitress. Never even thinking of going here again!

The food is not that great but the service is HORRIBLE! They started cleaning the restaurant while we were eating and the whole place was smelling of cleaning fluid. The waitress is the rudest I’ve ever seen, just standing next to the table overlooking everything you’re doing and gave me very spicy food when I didn’t ordered spicy. So, naturally I gave her not the best tip since I barely touched my food, and she got mad after looking at it and she told my group that we never show our face in the restaurant again while shouting loudly behind our back when we left. What the hell! Clearly, I’m never going to this place ever again. It was the worst food experience ever!

Wonderful meal. Had a hankering for Thai food and decided upon Thai Moon. Cozy and unassuming. Started with the Goong Gra Bog(marinated shrimp deep fried in an egg roll wrapper). The notes of ginger and garlic were subtle and not overpowering at all. Next my mother and I had Tom yum soup with shrimp and my hubby had wonton soup. I’ve had a lot of versions of Tom yum soup — some too salty, spicy or some tasting like a completely different soup. This soup had almost a sweeter note just the right amount of spice and perfectly cooked juicy shrimp. The hubs loved the wonton soup — good sized wontons and good number of them as well. For our meal. We shared shrimp pad Thai(typical) and the dancing squid. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The pad Thai had the right amount of sweet, savory and the noodles were cooked ‘al dente’(I abhor overcooked, soft noodles). Now the dancing squid is how squid should be cooked, tender and not fried. The vegetables served with it were also good — mushrooms, baby corn, red peppers, bamboo shoots and green beans. The only reason half a star should be subtracted was that the green beans were old and undercooked. Other than that the sauce was good and spot on spicy. Can’t wait to return and try more dishes.

Food was fairly average on a Thai food scale, not offensive, but not worth bringing out of town friends to. Honestly barely worth writing this review; except that I ordered via the Unilocal app and forgot to add a 1 $ side of rice, and when I got there they had a 10 $ minimum for cards. Not a huge deal, but annoying when everything in Arlington closes early, and they don’t have an onsite ATM.

Consistently good food and reliable service. Their Panang curry is outstanding! Shrimp dumplings were perfectly cooked. Décor is relatively simple but the restaurant has a nice cozy ambience.

Why does this place have such high ratings? Ordered the chicken pad thai to go and was so excited to crack open the container to eat after a long day at work, but after taking the first bite, I was so underwhelmed. In fact, as I kept eating, the food just tasted worse. I appreciate that it was chicken breast, but I’d honestly much prefer dark meat if the chicken was bone dry and stringy. Absolutely overcooked and a bad texture. The meat didn’t add anything to the dish at all, and had I’d known it’d be this way, I would have ordered a different protein. Most importantly, the dish was SALTY. HEAVYEMPHASISONTHESALT. Almost as if I got several cups of salt added in, I kid you not. I had to drink two bottles of water to get over the sodium, and I wasn’t even half way done with the noodles. Sorry, Thai Moon. Two stars, and I’m being generous.

Super rude service. The place was empty and I tried to sit next to my girlfriend but the waiter went crazy and said I can’t sit there(he insisted that we sit across from each other or else…). Anyway, if you like being insulted this is the place for you — otherwise try Lemon Grass in Lexington instead.
Thai Moon is unassuming, as it doesn’t look like an amazing place to dine. But it is. The food is incredibly fresh and the cooks know how to bring out the best flavors. I have been here for a few dinners and the serving sizes are nice and big and delicious. Noodles Kee Mao are very spicy but incredible!!! Chicken eggplant delight is sweet and Savory if you like eggplant you have got to get this! Tom yum soup isn’t that spicy and I drank the entire thing yum! Pineapple fried rice my sister got and she doesn’t even like Thai food was said it was better than any fried rice she’s had Curry’s are perfect, but be mindful this place is legit Thai, the food can be very spicy!!! I don’t know where they get their lemonade but it’s always always a good paring with my meal. The people are nice and it’s petty cute inside. Sometimes it can be so busy, like I’d say avoid on a Saturday night because you won’t get a seat. It’s excellent Thai food and a casual setting and lots and lots of flavor!!!

We have not eaten in the restaurant, but this is our go-to place when we order in and don’t feel like pizza. Although the food is consistently tasty, the spice level is hit or miss, and occasionally a dish may have far more heat than the«medium» we usually request. We’ve ordered many different items from the large and diverse menu, and some of our favorites include the Golden Bags appetizer, Salmon Choo Chee and the Ginger Scallion Fish. I generally add extra vegetables to my orders and Thai Moon is generous. Note that it’s a little priceyand many dishes do not come with rice(and you may need it for the heat).

Came here with friends for lunch. The food is good and affordable, but seem to be a bit heavy handed on the seasoning. For example, I got the pad see yew(written on the menu as pad C-U), which was too sweet and had very browned bits of scrambled egg in it. However, the noodles were cooked very well and I liked that there were two kinds of broccoli in it(American and Chinese). I also tried the pad thai and pad kee mao, both of which had good flavor, but the pad kee mao was very spicy. The thai iced tea and thai iced coffee were also too sweet, and unfortunately could not be edited because the drinks were already pre-made. The waiter seemed overworked because he was the only one attending to everyone and running back and forth from the kitchen, but he was friendly and made his best efforts to provide service.

Revisited this place recently… Food was fine not memorable. The waitress was rude(my wife understands Thai!) but the waitress got impatient as my wife was trying to order for a party of 6. Poor service was very disappointing.

Great dumpling and so is everything on the menu. I have been to the place multiple times and never got disappointed. The veggie dumplings are great if you don’t eat dead meat like me. Also, the pad Thai is must try! The waiter and staff is very friendly. Last time I went I was forced to tip more than I wanted to, since the service wasn’t as pleasant as always(taking out 2 stars for the same reason)

What have I been doing all this time?! I suppose I’m more a creature of habit than I’d like to think because I’ve been going to/ordering from the same Thai place time and time again ever since I’ve moved to Arlington… and missing out on some SERIOUSLY good food over here! I’m so glad I decided to traipse out of my comfort zone and grab a bite to eat here(word to the wise: unless it’s warm outside, opt out of sitting by the door in those cute little window spaces… très romantique… but also really friggin’ freezing because of the draft). The ambience is cozy; the tables are clean; and the service is friendly. Then the food. Oh, the food(accidentally typed ‘good’ instead, because I guess my brain just went there first). We started off with an order of the golden bags: yummy petite dumplings filled with ground chicken, corn, and veggies. So crisp, so tasty. And I’m glad we also ordered Thai iced tea and coffee(not sure I can pick a fave between the two) because it helped calm my tongue once I took a few bites of the hot basil chicken fried rice and noodles kee mao entrees. WOW. When some places say ‘spicy,’ it’s more like ‘sorta spicy, but not really.’ Here… it’s no joke. When they say spicy, they mean SPICY! But it was an awesome, delicious spicy, and the flavors of the dish were not lost or overwhelmed by mere capsaicin-induced pain. You can still appreciate the meat, seafood, and vegetables in the dishes here… and appreciate I did. The shrimp in their noodles were so fresh and meaty; the peppers and onions added appropriate crunchy texture; every bite I took was as enjoyable as the first. I can’t wait to come back again… this has now become my fave Thai place: where the food is tasty, and the spicy is spicy. Thanks, Thai Moon!
