These guys are great. They are consistent, polite, safe and the customer service is great.
We have used them daily for 3 years now.
The prices for dog walking can’t be beat for the service, security and peace of mind they provide.

I’ve been working with this company for the last 2 years. They are dependable, organized, detailed and easy to work with. Greg usually walks our dogs. He is exquisite. Highly recommend!

I have used TFAW since moving to Arlington 3 years ago. I’ve liked everyone I’ve talked to within the company but I adore my daily walker, Greg. My dog, Fiona, is skittish around new people but has responded amazingly to Greg. On the few occasions where I’ve been home (between appointments) and seen them interact, Fiona is genuinely excited to see him. It is such a comfort to me to know that Fiona is well taken care of while I’m away during the day. My staff interactions have been equally positive and I enjoy supporting this company.

I’ve used TFAW for almost a year now and am leaving the service only because I’m moving out of state and wish I could take Carol with me! The customer service is great and the price is competitive for the area. They worked with me when I had a 6 month old puppy in coming a few times a day and would call me if she got into something. Carol definitely is an animal lover and I’ve had a very pleasant experience working with them, if I’ve had issues it’s because I wouldn’t hear the phone ring when they needed let in on late add-​on walks, whoops! I would definitely recommend them :)

I’ve been using Time for a Walk for almost two months now. They came for the initial interview within a day of my submitting the request and arranged to have my dog walked twice during that week even though it was last minutes. There is a note every day when I get home telling me whether my great dane, Eddie, went to the bathroom or not on his walk. His Walker, Henry, always fills up his water bowl. I had to schedule an extra walk for this weekend and via email it was very easy. I got a confirmation about a day after I submitted the request. The price for monthly packages can’t be beat and its comforting to know that Eddie always gets out for a decent walk in the middle of the day when I am at work. Five stars :)

I have been using Time For A Walk for almost a year for my 100 pound German Shepherd and they have done a great job! Price is extremely reasonable ($ 200 for 15 minute walks for a month) compared to other dog walking services. Time For A Walk was very understanding when my dog got a little aggressive around the new male dog walker. They worked with me and now my dog loves the dog walker! Great service, I highly reccomend.

I can’t say enough about how good of an experience we’ve had with TFAW. Andy, our dog walker, is extremely attentive, the pups love him, and he writes us detailed notes every day. Whenever we contact the main office for changes to our schedule, we get a quick friendly response. Also, the prices can’t be beat. Thanks TFAW for the great service!

I hired TFAW to take care of my cat while I was out of town for the holidays. I was a bit reluctant at first but with all my friends also out of town for the holiday, I turned to a petsitting service. TFAW was easy to work with every step of the way, from the in-​home consultation to when I returned. My petsitter texted me multiple times during the week to let me know the cat was doing well and left daily notes for me at home. I felt good knowing there was someone to keep the cat company a few minutes each day. I will definitely hire them again!

I’ve been using TFAW since moving in 2013. They’re reliable and they make it easy to schedule extra walks at night or on weekends. My dog loves her walker, Sharon, and we get a note each day telling us about the walk.

We started using TFAW about 18 months ago, when our dog was a helpless little squiggly puppy, and they have taken fantastic care of him ever since. In addition to hiring conscientious walkers, they’re extremely easy to work with on scheduling and payment. Highly recommend!

TFAW walked my less than perfect dog for 6 months and I would definitely recommend the service.
I lived in a large apartment building and signed up for daily 15 minute walks. The price was right and my dog was always walked. There was an incident while my regular walker was on vacation but the office staff handled it promptly. My regular walker also picked up all the weekend and after work walks, which was a nice plus.
TFAW was very patient and understanding when my dog behaved poorly the first few attempts at walking him. It was a huge relief that they continued to work with him/​us. The office staff was always quick to communicate any issues and confirm additional or cancelled walks.

Time for a Walk has been amazing to work with! I’ve used them starting in early 2010 to take care of my little old jack russell terrier who is now 16 (can barely see and hear anymore) and all the dog walkers have been so kind and patient with my little doggy. It’s been great knowing that she could get a quick daytime walk and bathroom break from such caring dog walkers.
Big shoutout to Sharon who has been walking Pounce for years. She leaves the best notes and was so kind to leave a few gifts for Pounce throughout the years including a box of doggie treats as a going away gift now that we’re leaving the area and can no longer use their services! Also thank you to Joe who was our backup walker!
Can’t speak highly enough of Sharon and Time for a Walk… super helpful, very flexible and Kelly and Mike are really great about getting back quickly over email if something changes in your schedule. Well worth the price and I highly, highly recommend!!!

I’ve been using TFAW for 6 months now and they have been great! My dog is a very… particular…dog. He’s tough to get motivated for a walk, and very stubborn (typical to the breed). My walker seems to get the pup out, and it’s just such a relief to know my dog gets a chance to get some fresh air and go to the bathroom while I’m at work.
Recently, I had a chance meeting with the walker, as I don’t think my cancellation email made it to him. It was nice to meet him, and he even chatted with me and let me know he had researched the breed and we exchanged some notes on caring for the dog.
Even through a move TFAW and my walker didn’t skip a beat, and luckily I’m in range to keep the same walker.
TFAW is highly recommended!

I am really happy with TFAW after first time using their service last week. The overall service is great. The staffers and the owner are very nice and professional. When I came back from the trip from overseas, I was so happy to see the note that our dog walker, April, had recorded everytime she came. My dog Chai seemed to be happy with April which usually he is a grumpy chihuahua.
Anyway I am highly recommend Time for a Walk for people who are looking for dog walkers. The cost of the service is reasonable and the owner and the staffers are very nice. I am again very please with the service. Thank you again TFAW!!!

I moved to Northern Virginia in Aug of 2011 and brought with me one giant dog and one not so small cat. Since I moved here I have acquired a small 6 lbs chi-​mix as well. None of my pets have ever been boarded and considering that I moved here away from friends and family I needed a safe, reliable alternative to boarding and/​or leaving my pets with friends. (I still don’t want to have to board them.)
I HIGHLY recommend Time For A Walk! The prices are extremely reasonable and I’ve found them to be nothing but professional. I communicate with them primarily via email and they are always prompt to respond with confirmation of my appointments. I use their service on an ad-​hoc basis when I go out of town for work or have weekend plans that don’t allow me to take a break to return home and walk the dogs. The dog walkers ALWAYS leave a little note letting me know how their visit went and I find the notes to be sweet, honest, and fun! Most of the times I am only paying them to walk my 2 dogs but the walkers always take time to mention my cat and how they played with him too! (I do pay for all 3 when feedings are involved.) When I am away for longer trips they also water my plants, feed my fish, and clean my cat’s littler box.
I’d be lost without Time For A Walk and love their services and their reliability. I got home early once (forgetting I had hired TFAW to come) and when my dogs spotted their dog walker it was like seeing a long lost friend. Tails wagging all around so I know my pets love them too!

I have been using TFAW for midday walks for the last 3+ years. We’ve had the same walker for almost the entire duration (except for a few substitutes here and there for vacation/​illness, etc.) and we’ve had zero problems. They’re very reliable and leave a note after every walk. It’s not the first time I’ve used a dogwalking service and they satisfy all my needs. Not to mention, the price is right. Every once in a while there seems to be a disconnect between the office staff and the actual walker… I’ll cancel a walk because my husband is working from home and the walker still shows up. It’s no big deal; just a little awkward.
I would recommend TFAW to a friend.

Bottom-​line — If you have large dogs DO NOT use these people. They will rip you off and leave you with in a lurch.
I have used TFAW since April 2011 to walk my large dogs. Before this week I would have given them 3 or 4 stars, but now I think they have earned less then 1.
For the last 12 months they walked my two large dogs will little problems until my regular walk quit. After the male walker left, TFAW claimed none of their employees could walk my dogs together in the time I was paying for because all their employee were females and not capable of walking my dogs together.
On a friday afternoon, I get an email from their office staff telling me I could pay $ 80 more a month for them to walk my dogs, pay them $ 220 to have them let the dogs out in my fenced backyard or I could find a new dog walking company.
While TFAW did offer reference to other companies but that isn’t very helpful on a Friday afternoon. Of course, they did offer to walk my dogs for another week so I could find a new company, but I wouldn’t trust my dogs’ care to them after they unceremoniously backed me into a corner.
What make this so frustrating this then have been walking my dogs since the were puppies. Even though my Irish Wolfhound and English Mastiffs are big animals, TFAW know they were going to get bigger since they day they took us on customers. They only started complaining about size of my dogs when I ask why the goes weren’t being walked according to the agreed contract.
After nearly 18 months with this company, I safely say STAY AWAY. They are happy to take your money and even happier to walk away.

I’ve been using TFAW since March of 2012. I have had nothing but positive experiences. My dog walker, Liz, is absolutely incredible. My dog loves her, she is detailed, writes me detailed notes each day and really cares about the well-​being of my dog. She has even taught my dog tricks.
Prices are really competitive for the area. Customer service has been great, they always respond to e-​mails quickly and the payment is easy.
When my dog was injured I would get a phone call if my dog seemed sick or hurt or there was any sort of change, which really gave me the peace of mind to go back to work and trust my dog with Liz.
I recommend this company to all of my pet-​owning friends.
