Great place to exercise. Exceptional staff! Classes are awesome, so is the water aerobics! Can only say good things about the Mansfield/Arlington YMCA.

Alyssa no longer teaches the Tuesday night Zumba class. Diego has taken over and is awesome. Real intense workout!

I joined the Y a couple months ago and love it! I only go to the group exercise classes, mainly Zumba, but the staff is always friendly, the facilities are always clean, and the people you go to class with are very encouraging and warm. They have top notch Zumba instructors. Alyssa is my absolute favorite! She co-teaches a class with Katherine and the turn out is so large that we get to use the entire gym! The people who play basketball are not very happy and begrudgingly leave, but it’s only for an hour and they need to chill, in my opinion. My review isn’t 5 stars because I wish the facility were bigger! There are times when it gets crowded and even the group exercise classes feel a bit cramped! I think they should think about adding on another gym for basketball, another building for group exercise, and maybe a space for tennis, racquetball, and ping pong! That would be fantastic! I go to the Y 3 – 4 times a week and love it! They should definitely expand!!!

Good clean gym, that has most of the basic supplies that you would need including a good lap pool. Be aware that a lot of people will hang out and crowd the entrance way but are generally polite in letting you through as you socialize. There is nothing really special about the YMCA, and the price reflects it, so do not go in thinking that you are going to get marble counter tops and smoothie bar, and understand it is a gym to work out in.

I love the YMCA because it is a Christian-based family health center. They have special classes for cancer survivors. They have Zumba,(which I teach), body pump, yoga, Pilates etc. plus cycle classes and plenty of treadmills and elliptical’s. They have a free 90 day introduction for new members where you get a personal coach to teach you how to use the machines. This YMCA has an indoor pool for aqua classes and swim lessons.

Great place to exercise — check. Free child care while I exercise — check. Free exercise classes — check. Fun exercise challenges with t-shirts — check. Indoor pool — check. Parents’ night out every 2 weeks — check. Children’s activities throughout the year — check. Less expensive than that gym that’s open when you’re asleep anyway — check. YMCA is where it’s at. That’s why there’s even a song about the place.
