Not the best place to work for or get training from. Some of the guys are very cool. Like Mark Reynolds. He was always willing to help. Can’t say that for many of the other employees. Except maybe Jason but he got fired for some reason. If you want to know nothing about the industry or OTR truck driving and just want to learn how to drive then I guess it’s not a bad school. They mainly make you drive straight for hours though. Ray is a good guy though. Though they need to switch it up a bit and have some classroom training as well. Maybe a portion on load securement. For what they teach you… take your money somewhere else and go to a better school. You may pay a little more but it’s worth it. After training and getting my CDL they were willing to hire me because I did an awesome job. They stuck me with a horrible trainer named Tommy who did everything for 3 days so I didn’t learn anything. So when they released me on my own I didn’t know how to do anything. Peoplenet, forms, etc. All I knew how to do was drive. Then when I called to ask a training question he thought he hung up with me but didn’t and I heard«Gosh this kid is bugging me». I’m sorry but if you don’t want to train… don’t be a trainer. They were constantly trying to put me in garbage trucks where mirrors were falling off, missing mud flaps, missing part of the grill, a headlight out, seat wouldn’t adjust, etc. It was getting very old just sitting around waiting for a truck. Dispatch was all jerks. Especially Teressa Minor. Which she is now someone higher. How? I have no idea. Maybe time on her knees is all I can think of. So I eventually gave up on them and left. Though, Shortly after I left they ended up getting some newer equipment so I tried going back. I had the school trainer say I was golden after 3 days of refresher and they sent me out with a driver to do a run to alabama. Jim Aleck was cool at first and couldn’t believe how good I drove with such little experience but then we bumped heads towards the end and he changed my evaluation based off of disagreements. Which is stupid because that guy drives worse than a Swift driver or anyone for that matter. Since Teressa became a new higher up she told me I’d have to take a whole training class for like $ 2,500. Screw that… they were just trying to suck more money out of me. I ended up going somewhere else with the same amount of experience and they took me. Said I drove better than anyone he’s ever evaluated for a position before. So what does that say about this company. Liars, cheaters, scammers, lazy, disrespectful, etc. OH! Plus they were making me run illegally like overweight and doing like 16−18hr days after I’d tell them I only have 2hrs left. Which they got audited and slapped with fines. They pushed a guy to run off the clock and he hit someone. Not a good company to work for. Plus their pay is very low.
