Arroyo Grande Import Automotive

AG Automotive has been servicing my Maxima for the past two years and the owner, Chris, is totally on top of things.
I’ve been in and out of car shops for over — well, a very long time — and have never experienced the courtesy, know how and follow through in any other shop.
I get a total visual of my engine, fluid checks, tire rotation, etc every time a get an oil change along with notes and an assessment of future and/​or urgent issues.
I always hate to spread the good word about terrific people. They tend to get too busy and harder to see! But, Chris deserves the attention. He works hard at his shop.
His prices are more than reasonable and he and his mechanic Mark, work to get your car back on the road as quickly as possible.
If you have a Japanese or German Import, this is the place for you.

I have been taking my cars to Chris since he opened and I am so happy to have found him. Chris is very honest, he has a strong working knowledge of automotive repair and I am completely confident in him. In the almost 8 years I have taken my cars to him for repair He is as excellent as he was when he first opened his business. This business does not disappoint ever.

We’ve been going to see Chris at AG Import Auto for 4 years. Chris is always helpful, understands our situation and works with us to make sure we’re happy. We started with Chris from a recommendation from a work colleague and I’m thrilled to be able to recommend AG Import myself.
The shop is no thrills, so if you’re looking for a place that will do your nails while you wait, go else where. If you’re looking to get your car fixed right and someone that will be honest with you, then call Chris.

This is the first one star review I have ever written. I’m loath to being negative toward a business or person, but my experience left me with such a bad taste in my mouth that I felt compelled to share. I’m not doubting Chris’ integrity or skill, but he really left me high and dry.
I took in my older Infinity car, he assessed the issues then very coldly said, «I’m not going to do the repairs on your car. It’s too much work. When are you going to pick it up?» Really? Thanks so much for your great customer service and your help. I subsequently called another mechanic I have used in the past and after I let him know the issues he said, «We can take care of you.» The only reason I took it to Chris first is that he is closer and a friend gave him a strong recommendation. My friend is now very embarrassed to have given the recommendation.

Friendly, honest, reliable, fair prices. Doesn’t get better than the service Chris provides. He bends over backwards to help you with your auto needs.

He has always given us excellent advice and service. He has treated our autos as if they were his own — AND he has treated us as Family — We were recently happily surprised to be invited, and to attend his Wedding.
