Like the previous reviewer, my husband and I stayed at Salsa Del Salto as part of a Southwest honeymoon. We only stayed for one night because our travel plans involved hitting a different stop each day. When I booked our reservation, I was tempted to stay there for two nights because it looked so cute and homey. After the fact, I still sort of wish we had. Despite the name«bed and breakfast,» Salsa Del Salto also serves an evening meal to its guests. Sadly, we arrived too late to join the other guests for dinner. Our hosts seemed a little disappointed by this, and insisted on giving us plates of leftovers to warm up and eat in our room. The dinner was Chicken Adovado, and it was really good. Because we were on our honeymoon, the owners upgraded us from the cheapest room we could book(we were on a budget!) to a spacious suite. Our suite was so cute! Seriously, I was in love with this place, which had a beautfiul balcony where we were able to watch the last of the sunset, and a window seat where we could watch the sun coming up over the mountains the next morning. We seriously want to take another vacation to Taos so we can spend more time at Salsa Del Salto. Our hosts gave us a tour of the facilities, and at every step it was clear that they had gone the extra mile to try to please guests while still maintaining a budget appropriate for the rustic setting. Our suite had a VCR in it(remember those?) and there were some VHS tapes downstairs for guests to borrow if they wished(there were also books for the guests to borrow, and a hot tub out back, but we didn’t stay there long enough to check those out). A bottle of wine was also chilling in our room when we arrived. I slept very well on the night that we stayed there. The bed was soooo comfy and there was wind blowing outside, so in the morning when I woke up, I felt so relaxed. I think I even managed to sleep until 6 or 6:30 am that day, which was later than most days(we live in Atlanta and I had a heck of a time adjusting to the time difference and kept waking up at 3 and 4 am for most of the trip). Breakfast that day at the B&B was eggs, turkey sausage, and Belgian waffles. There was also homemade granola and what was seriously the best yogurt I have ever eaten. I would DEFINITELY come back for another stay here. For the price, it was an excellent value. And in terms of comfort, food and service, there is not a single thing I would change about our experience.

A little rustic yet sublime. We stayed for two nights as part of our Southwest honeymoon. Great food, wonderful people, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. They greeted us with a smile and a bottle of wine. Dadou recommended a massage therapist, and we had it in our room. The fellow travelers were also very friendly — we were so happy to be there.
