Cerritos Learning Tree Pre-School

All schools cannot please everyone all the time. But my 2 children have been going to this school for almost 2 years and they have done everything possible to help my children learn and become prepared for Kindergarten. Their staff are kind and always considerate at all times. The staff of Ms Denise, Ms Michelle and Ms Anna and all the others are excellent in their child care knowledge. I highly recommend this school to every-​one. Thank-​you Noah’s Mom.

My daughter attended this preschool and had the best experience this last year. She went to kindergarten very advanced. The teachers and director are friendly. The director there is so friendly and thorough, she took her time and presented the school and herself very well. I do recommend this center for other families.

My daughter has been coming here for 6 months and she loves it! The teachers are awesome and my daughter has learned a lot. Her teacher is Ms. Mirna. I have had no problems at this school.

To the reviewer who said that their 2 year old child was kicked out… that was my EXACT same experience. After the first day, they began a «behavior log» — in which every single misstep that my child performed was documented and tracked. For example, 7:34a — did not want to sit down at circle time — what 2 year old does?!
Ms. Judy said that she tried interventions, but my son NEVER acted like this act his old school — and he’s been going to school since he was 8 weeks old! They said he was on a biting rampage and that he even bit and kicked the teachers. When I asked what circumstances triggered his behavior and what the teacher’s response to his behavior was — I was redirected to focus on what I could do to help my son. By the end of the week, I had a meeting with Ms. Judy and before I could tell her that I would be removing my son, she told me that «he was no longer welcome» — this was in July 2012. As I’m looking for another school I realized I never gave this place a review.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs!!!

This school is very unethical! I enrrolled my son aproximately one month ago and explained to the shcool director that I was a divorced parent and that my son would only be coming to pre-​school on my custodial dates. School director told me it was perfectly fine and that they had other situations like mine. The made me pay for full time tuition even though my son would only attend 3 days a week, but I agreed. My son was very well adjusted although he still had some small cry when I would leave, but wouldn;t last for over 2 mins. To my surprise I was recieved with a letter yesterday of a suposed school policy that enforced my son to be there 5 days a week a full day in order for them to keep him. A letter written by hand by the area supervisor. I explained again that the agreement since day one was 3 days a week and everything was working okay. To my surprise the school director had met with my son’s father, behind my back and since he didn’t like the fact that he was attending pre-​school on my custodial dates the director confabulated with him and refused to allow my son to come back the next day. When confronted by my and asked for copy of that supposed policy she said she wasn’t aware of it, but her supervisor had told her to just take my son out and avoid problems. I read all the school policy and there is no such clause! They lied to me and in writting!!! They caused me to miss work until now i can find another pre-​school and the worst of all they are causing my son trauma from having to be rejected and now having to get adjusted to a new place. Needless to say the area director «judy» never answered the phone to give me and explanation as to why my son was discriminated for having divorced parents. The school had even records of our custody agreement and the rights for my son to be enrrolled by me, but they ingnored everything and kicked him out, just like that. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Yep Lisa, I am really glad he isn’t there anymore. It really hurt me that they treated us that way. It bothers me to this day. As a matter of fact the woman that was running the front desk at the time was really nice and we loved her. She was shocked herself when the director kicked him out. This year I ran into the front desk lady and she told me she is no longer working there and she left after the way they treated my son. Honestly I wish I would have pursued legal action against them. The director obviously doesnt really care and love children… she probably just sees them as a paycheck.

And again I will remind everyone what was done to my son in 2004, Cerritos learning tree discriminated my son & I tryed to get In touch with owner to let him know what kind of people were working for him, miss Judy director refused to help me, and just covered up what her employee Leslie did, Leslie was in charge of barn school, miss judy told me she was new and is learning. How can anyone allow a child to be discriminated! My son had a walker and Leslie told me in front of my son she didn’t think they had the facility there for him, when I told her he was able to get around well and walk down stairs, they only had two step-​stairs, I asked her if she was discriminating, she changed her tune! Hopefully Leslie don’t work there no more, or at any school, and they have kids with disabilities now, because obviously in 2004, they didn’t, I will never forget what was done to my son, and the experience I went thru, it felt horrible being hung up on over & over just because my child had a walker, I’m glad to say my son will be a better person then those two, will ever be.
