Business Owner

Obtaining his Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Southern California, and successfully moving forward to complete his Doctoral Degree in Dentistry at the University of the Pacific, Dr. Moy has accomplished a successful Referral based Practice here in Artesia.

As a member of the Tau Kappa Omega Dental Honor Society, he has also been recognized for his excellence in Practice as a United Concordia Preferred Dentist. Formerly on the board of Directors for the City of Artesia Chamber of Commerce, he continually commits to his membership and participation as an active partnership.

Although he is so very passionate about dentistry, he also enjoys his leisure time. In his spare time he enjoys gardening, new technologies, church activities as well as cooking (eating too!!), among the best, exploring the world.

Dr. David Moy and staff are the the best! I just moved back to CA from New Jersey and found that my dentist in Irvine retired. I’m a nervous wreck when it comes to getting my teeth looked at. In fact, I only go to the dentist when I have a tooth ache. Well, sure enough about three months into my move, a tooth ache hit me! A friend referred me to Dr. David Moy. My first appointment went great! The best part was that I didn’t waste time in the waiting room! I did have a bad cavity/​cracked tooth from a previous filling and had to get a crown put on :(so sad but it was all painless! I was completely numb and the process was explained to me by Dr. Moy as he was doing it. I was back at work and eating a few hours later. I just moved to Corona, so now it’s a bit of a drive, but in my opinion, it is completely worth it. You wont be disappointed with the customer care or service! Now I’m even visiting the dentist twice a year (thanks to the tech savvy staff and email notifications — plus I make my appointments via email now too!).
If you are looking for a full service Dentistry with experience and an actual passion for what they do, be sure to check out Dr. David Moy and staff. Some dentists just leave all the little cavities and let them grow into root canals for more money (happened to me once). David has solid ethics and makes sure it gets done right the first time.

Dr. Moy is the BEST Dentist around! He has re-​arranged his schedule and worked on his days off for my family and I. My son who is five years old had to have an unexpected root canal. He was not scared and did not cry at all. They were able to console me during the procedure and made for sure that my son was not in any pain. Dr. Moy and his staff are helpful, gentle and truly care about their patients. Dr. Moy is truly a one of a kind!

Had to have a tooth pulled. Was a tough one it broke while being pulled not sure if I can blame the Doc or my sweet tooth. He pulled the root also. Took some time, but every thing was okay.

Don’t go to Dr. Moy! I went there and they did a filling on one of my teeth because they said I had a cavity on it. It took one hour for them to fill it. Then they told me to schedule more appointments for my other cavities to be filled. When I asked how many more needed to be done they said 9 more!!! I couldn’t believe they said I had 10 cavities. I went to my orthodontist the next day because my retainer didn’t fit and I informed him about what my dentist said. They took an x-​ray and found out that I had no cavities. Makes me wonder if the filling I just had done was for a cavity or cash for the doctor. Hmm. Sketchy!

How many dentists mess up with a root canal? During the procedure, I knew exactly when things went way wrong, great pain all of a sudden is the indicator! Beware if you’re in great pain! On two occasions, I had a 2+ day wait to get an appointment. Make sure you have plenty of hardcore pain relievers to help relieve «some of the pain». On one visit, I asked him a simple question, «…is that normal?» A blank stare followed by no answer. If a business fails to deliver, the honorable thing they should do is to give a refund!!! On a positive note, his staff was nice.

My family and I have been with Dr. Moy since he began his practice over 25 years ago. We were originally with Dr. Taylor and when Dr. Taylor sold the practice to Dr. Moy we decided to give him a try. We’ve been very happy and now my husband goes to him as well. He and his staff are good at what they do and really care about their patients. I would highly recommend them.

Everyone in this office is very friendly and professional! Gentle on your mouth and my cleaning was very reasonable for not having insurance. I will definitely be using Dr. Moy and his office for my future dental needs!
